General Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Scheduling to join our finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in program scheduling within the defense or R&D industry. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of scheduling and earned value management. This role is highly visible with work product being consumed by Directors, VPs, Executives, and Customers.


Essential Duties:

Develop and implement processes and procedures across HRL to support earned value management and scheduling systems

Support development and maintenance of program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project, based on requirements and scope provided by the customer

Detail plan and maintain the IMS throughout the program’s lifecycle that incorporates contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS to maintain realistic current program management baselines

Ensure the IMS is compliant with government customer requirements throughout all program phases

Ensure the IMS is resource loaded for applicable scope with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration

Lead and conduct detailed analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality, completeness, and compliance

The weekly/monthly business rhythms will require communication (electronically and verbally) of schedule status including but not limited to, results of critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis and the results of “what-if” exercises to the Planning Lead as well as Program Manager, customers, and senior management as needed

Support EAC and proposal processes as they relate to the Program IMS

Develop scheduling health metrics and dashboard to provide visibility


Required Skills:

Prior work experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process

Prior work experience in managing the development of complex program plans in accordance with the statement of work and program strategy

Prior experience managing a team of professionals

Prior work experience supporting the integration of subcontractors and operations into program plans, schedules, and financial tracking

Demonstrated customer facing experience in leadership role

Familiarity with: Deltek Costpoint, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) & Deltek Cobra

Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance


Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields

10+ years of professional experience in Program Planning is preferred


Special Requirements:

US Citizenship

Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance


Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $145,745 - $186,688 + bonus + benefits.
