We’re Underdog.

The fastest-growing sports gaming company – ever.

We build innovative games, products, and experiences for American sports fans.

We’re here to shake up the fastest growing industry with bold ideas, custom-built tech, and the drive to win.

Founded in 2020, our team has built four of today’s most widely played fantasy games and launched the Underdog Sportsbook – built entirely in-house with our own technology. That means we control our product, move fast, and create experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

In just over two years, we’ve reached over a $1.2 billion valuation, with investors like BlackRock, Spark Capital, SV Angel, Mark Cuban, Kevin Durant, and Adam Schefter. And we’re just getting started.

At Underdog, we believe that sports are for everyone. Join us.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a high-performing operational marketing team responsible for targeted testing, trigger-based promotional campaigns, and real-time reactionary campaigns aligned with a dynamic, news-driven sports calendar.
  • Oversee the execution, strategy, and optimization of retention marketing efforts across sportsbook and fantasy sports, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continual improvement.
  • Develop and manage a Lifecycle CRM strategy, leveraging automation, segmentation, and real-time insights to drive engagement and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Establish a rapid-response marketing function, making real-time adjustments to promotional strategies in reaction to breaking sports news, odds shifts, and major events.
  • Drive CRM optimizations through rigorous A/B testing, performance analysis, and investment management, ensuring efficient promotional spend and maximizing ROI.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Analytics teams to enhance automation, personalization, and overall CRM efficiency.
  • Own the development and delivery of decision frameworks, campaign impact analysis, and performance updates for senior leadership.
  • Ensure seamless campaign execution, QA oversight, and workflow optimization, maintaining best-in-class retention strategies.
  • Scale and develop the team, fostering talent growth and expanding the team’s remit to support the company’s evolving marketing needs.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of CRM or retention marketing experience, preferably in regulated gaming, technology, or eCommerce industries.
  • 3+ years of team management experience, with a proven track record of leading and scaling high-performance teams.
  • Strong real-time decision-making skills, with the ability to react quickly to changing sports betting dynamics and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Highly data-driven, with expertise in SQL, A/B testing, marketing investment management, and performance analysis.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with data-focused CRM and promotional execution tools, such as Braze, Optimove, Looker, and Sigma.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience building presentations to showcase deliverables and read outs
  • A passion for sports betting, fantasy sports, or customer engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with DFS/SBK mechanics and player behaviors.
  • Expertise in developing and optimizing personalized lifecycle campaigns to increase customer retention

Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000, plus target equity. The starting base salary will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills and experience, among other things.

What we can offer you:
