Position Overview: 

Care Access is seeking a dynamic and strategic Patient Engagement Marketing Manager to drive and execute marketing initiatives that directly engage patients at sites, events, and community outreach efforts. This role is essential in ensuring that all marketing efforts are effectively implemented at the patient level, providing a seamless and impactful experience from awareness to participation. 


The Patient Engagement Marketing Manager will lead initiatives to optimize patient outreach, engagement, and retention strategies. This role will also focus on developing partnerships with advocacy groups, support groups, site and event leadership and local organizations to enhance patient recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate is relationship builder who is highly organized, collaborative, and results-driven, with a passion for making a difference in healthcare accessibility.  


What You'll Be Working On: 

Duties include but not limited to: 

Patient-Level Marketing Execution

  • Develop and implement patient engagement marketing strategies at Care Access sites, events, and partner locations to drive awareness and participation. 
  • Ensure that all marketing materials, messaging, and branding are effectively deployed at the patient level, including signage, flyers, digital assets, and promotional items
  • Lead the execution of on-site marketing activations to enhance patient engagement and trial awareness. 
  • Manage language translation process to ensure we are tailoring our experiences for target.  
  • Work cross-functionally with clinical operations, recruitment teams, and event organizers to ensure seamless marketing execution. 

Partner Marketing

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with advocacy groups, local organizations, and support groups to drive patient engagement and recruitment efforts. 
  • Manage relationships with community stakeholders to create co-branded marketing initiatives and grassroots outreach programs
  • Collaborate with external partners, healthcare providers, and patient advocates to expand Care Access’s community presence. 
  • Support Community Team with requests and creative solutions to drive results at ad hoc events.  

Content Development & Creative Execution

  • Oversee the creation and deployment of marketing collateral, digital assets, and promotional content tailored to patient audiences. 
  • Work closely with internal teams and vendors to develop social media, print, digital, and event-based marketing materials that resonate with target demographics. 
  • Ensure messaging is clear, accessible, and patient-centric, simplifying complex medical information into engaging, actionable content. 

Leadership & Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Manage one direct report responsible for content creation and marketing collateral execution at the patient level. 
  • Serve as a bridge between corporate marketing, digital teams, and local patient engagement teams to ensure marketing strategies are fully realized. 
  • Track and analyze patient engagement data to continuously optimize marketing efforts and improve conversion rates. 

Physical & Travel Requirements:

  • This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment and requires the ability to use keyboards and other computer equipment.  
  • OR Physical demands associated with this positive include: Walking, Standing, Sitting, Lifting (minimal), and drive to local events/sites
  • This role requires up to 20% travel. Length of travel will depend upon study requirements, staff needs, and company initiatives.  
  • Type of travel required: ​National​ 

What you Bring - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of experience in patient engagement marketing, healthcare marketing, community outreach, or a related field
  • Proven experience executing marketing initiatives at the grassroots level, particularly in healthcare, clinical trials, or patient advocacy
  • Strong understanding of digital and traditional marketing tactics to engage patient populations effectively. 
  • Experience developing marketing partnerships with advocacy groups, nonprofits, and local organizations. 
  • Ability to translate complex medical concepts into clear, engaging marketing materials
  • Exceptional project management skills—capable of handling multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Leadership and team management skills with experience  
  • Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Canva, CRM systems, email marketing tools, and social media platforms). 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where adaptability and execution are key. 

Certifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field Experience with event marketing, field marketing, or on-site activations in healthcare settings. 
  • Basic knowledge of paid media, and digital patient acquisition strategies
  • Familiarity with clinical trial recruitment processes and patient advocacy landscapes
  • Spanish or other bilingual skills are a plus.
