We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Incentive Compensation Design & Administration to lead the development, implementation, and management of incentive compensation programs. This role will be responsible for designing strategic compensation structures, ensuring compliance with business objectives, and optimizing incentive programs to drive sales performance and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in incentive compensation frameworks, analytics, and administration, with a strong ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Incentive Compensation Strategy & Design

  • Develop and refine incentive compensation structures that align with business objectives, sales strategies, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to ensure compensation plans are competitive and effective.
  • Design compensation models that drive desired behaviors, enhance performance, and maintain fairness and transparency.
  • Partner with leadership to establish short-term and long-term incentive programs tailored to different sales and operational roles.

Compensation Plan Administration & Governance

  • Oversee the end-to-end administration of incentive compensation plans, including calculations, payouts, and reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with legal, human resources, and financial policies.
  • Develop governance frameworks to ensure fair and equitable compensation administration.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Commercial Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and HR to streamline processes and resolve disputes.

Performance Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze compensation data to assess plan effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure incentive plans are driving intended outcomes.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on incentive performance, trends, and potential optimizations.
  • Utilize automation and analytics tools to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, Finance, HR, and Sales teams on incentive compensation matters.
  • Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate Sales teams and managers on compensation structures.
  • Address employee inquiries and provide guidance on plan details, calculations, and payout structures.
  • Partner with Incentive Compensation Software Vendor ensure incentive compensation systems are properly configured and maintained.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in incentive compensation design, administration, and analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of sales compensation best practices, financial modeling, and incentive structures.
  • Experience with compensation software (e.g., Forma AI, Captivate IQ, Anaplan) and CRM platforms like Salesforce.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, complex business environments with evolving compensation needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry.
  • Certification in Sales Compensation (CSCP) or relevant incentive compensation certification
