We're in an exciting period of scale at dbt Labs and are seeking an experienced Manager, Accounts Receivable to manage the daily functions of invoicing, collections, and vendor onboarding to ensure transactions are processed accurately, controls are executed and documented appropriately, and KPIs for DSO and collections are met. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance existing processes and scale your team as the business grows.
In this role, you can expect to:
Daily activities
- Manage the AR and Billing team, currently 1 full-time employee
- Ensure timely responses to vendor onboarding forms and billing inquiries
- Review contract negotiation questions regarding invoicing and create a playbook for recurring inquiries
- Review non-standard invoices and billing schedules prior to sending invoices
- Investigate past due invoices and drive resolutions
- Assist with reconciliation of any non-standard deposits in Netsuite
Month-end close and audit
- Prepare AR reconciliations
- Review AR aging and status on delinquent accounts
- Create a collections playbook
- Own the AR reserve and write-off policy, and perform the AR reserve analysis
- Be the primary point of contact for all AR audit inquiries
Process enhancements
- Create automation for repetitive tasks to drive efficiencies and scale the organization
- Report KPIs and track how they’ve been impacted by automation and process enhancements
- Ensure control environment addresses potential risks
- Ensure processes and policies align with public company standards
- Advise on potential changes to our tech stack that impact billing and collections
You are a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 6+ years of experience in Billing, Collections, or Order Management roles, with some of that experience at a software company
- Experience working at a high growth tech company preferred
- Experience using Salesforce, Netsuite, and Stripe preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $102,000-$120,000
