This is a remote position that will require travel to partner locations. Holidays are peak times for our business and work may be required. This position requires travel to all US time zones. Candidates must reside and be authorized to work within the United States.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as an Logistics Manager. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the flow of products and orders through our supply chain, with a primary focus on minimizing delays. Additionally, the role involves maintaining optimal in-stock levels, enhancing inventory turnover, and balancing inventory loads to enhance delivery speed.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, capable of processing data from various sources to identify both tactical issues and opportunities for systemic process improvements. Moreover, they should feel comfortable holding partner organizations accountable for executing plans effectively. With a diverse skill set, you will lead a cross-section of initiatives within operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead cross-functional projects: Drive key initiatives from inception to completion, using independent judgment to prioritize and allocate resources. Your decisions will directly impact the company’s operational efficiency and new service rollouts.
- Strategic supply chain optimization: Develop and implement tools to monitor supply chain performance. Independently assess risks (e.g., aging inventory, shipment delays) and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and protect financial outcomes.
- Data-driven insights: Leverage data to generate actionable insights, using discretion to influence strategic alignment with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring organizational goals are met.
- Manage fulfillment and logistics: Identify and mitigate potential shipment delays. Use your decision-making skills to reallocate resources or adjust processes as needed to ensure on-time order fulfillment, with significant financial and operational impacts.
- Financial analysis and business case development: Conduct independent financial analysis (e.g., ROI evaluations) for investments and process improvements. Your ability to build strong business cases will directly influence company strategy and budget allocations.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Exercise discretion in managing cross-site communications and aligning stakeholders, ensuring that decisions regarding timelines, priorities, and deliverables are made autonomously for the benefit of the company’s strategic goals.
- Compliance and reporting: Establish reporting mechanisms and take data-driven actions independently to address non-compliance. Your decisions in these areas will be crucial to maintaining customer satisfaction and preventing costly operational disruptions.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 4+ years in an operational or logistics role, preferred
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, particularly in managing inbound container flows.
- 2+ years working in analytical roles with advanced spreadsheet skills and SQL/GBQ experience
- Demonstrate a proficient understanding of order flow and EDI/API transactions for the entire purchase order lifecycle, from the 846 to the 810, across various systems and platforms.
- Possess a basic understanding of different modes of transportation, including parcel, white glove, LTL and TL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international warehouses.
