Housing is a vibrant field, and Bungalow's team is dedicated to enhancing the living experiences of our communities. Our mission is to deliver top-notch homes that blend quality with affordability, ensuring that finding the perfect place is a hassle-free experience. 


We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Lead to head our efforts in resolving issues while maintaining and evolving the architecture for Bungalow systems for the future using the latest technologies.



What You'll Do:

  • Technical Strategy: Define and drive the technical roadmap by aligning engineering best practices with emerging technologies to ensure long-term system performance, scalability, and reliability for both internal and external users.
  • Team Leadership & Hiring: Lead, manage, and grow the engineering team by hiring top talent, mentoring team members, and fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance environment.
  • System Reliability: Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high availability and quick resolution of production issues.
  • AI Integration: Research, evaluate, and implement AI tools to enhance documentation, refactor the codebase, improve code quality, support processes, and uncover new opportunities. This includes:Automating documentation processes for team membersStreamlining inefficient codeDeveloping an AI bot for immediate engineering supportExploring other innovative applications
  • Operational Partnership: Collaborate with the operations team to proactively identify and resolve recurring issues, implement monitoring solutions, ensure seamless frontend/backend integration, and develop automated remediation processes.
  • New Feature Development: Engage in the design and development of efficient, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

  • Experienced Professional: Ideally, you have 7+ years of experience of full-stack development with proficiency in Python, along with a strong understanding of system architecture and API design with 3+ years of management experience. 
  • Systems Expert: A professional adept at creating and managing database schemas and API structures that support and enhance business operations. Proven track record in successfully refactoring and modernizing legacy codebases and experience implementing and managing monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Multitasker: You excel in managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining high attention to detail.

  • Database: Postgres for database management
  • Frontend: Vue and Vuetify
  • Deployment: Vercel and AWS
  • Mobile: React
  • Experience with these technologies is highly valued as they form the backbone of our development and production environments.
