Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Perform design, development, and technical troubleshooting in order to build and execute creative software solutions that resolve technical problems. Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to internal JPMC offices for meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Product/Engineering Manager, Technology Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Product/Engineering Manager, Technology Lead, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Java development projects end to end from product requirements SDLC to deployment of the solution to production; E-commerce, enterprise, and large-scale transaction processing technologies; cloud-based APIs and protocols such as SOAP, REST, or JSON; Spring application; docker based Microservices; Kafka message service bus; Zookeeper; AWS ECS; AWS Batch; AWS S3; AWS CloudWatch/rules; AWS cloud formation; Jenkins CD/CD; Swagger; YAML; Maven; Apigee; Sonar; Karate; Cucumber; New relic; Postman; Eclipse; IntelliJ, BBEdit; Snowflake; Looker; Go Anywhere; Microsoft tools; Splunk; SQL and NoSQL databases such as MS SQL and Couchbase; documentation in Confluence along with OmniGraffle/Gliffy flow charts; Scrum planning using Jira board/tickets; and distributed version control systems, such as Git.
Job Location: 3223 Hanover Street, Palo Alto, CA 94304. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to internal JPMC offices for meetings.
Full-Time. Salary: $195,000 - $215,000 per year.
