Job Description:

Poshmark is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to support our Posh Shows and Sellers teams by delivering high-impact analytics and insights that shape strategy across Business, Product, Growth Marketing, and Retention Marketing.

As a Lead Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing trends, developing key performance metrics, and delivering actionable recommendations to optimize our seller and show experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional who enjoys working cross-functionally to influence business strategy and drive measurable outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Deliver Strategic Insights – Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, correlations, and opportunities, translating findings into clear, actionable business recommendations

  • Optimize Business Performance – Develop and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess success, track progress, and identify areas for improvement

  • Drive Data-Backed Decision-Making – Work closely with Business, Product, and Marketing teams to understand their analytics needs and provide data-driven solutions

  • Enhance Data Infrastructure – Partner with Data Engineering to design and improve data models, reporting pipelines, and data collection processes

  • Lead Exploratory Data Analysis – Conduct deep dives into data to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic initiatives

  • Ensure Data Quality & Integrity – Perform rigorous quality assurance (QA) testing on reports and insights, documenting key findings and working with teams to resolve data issues

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work with stakeholders across the company to ensure alignment and leverage best practices for high-quality analytics deliverables
     

Your First Six Months:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Poshmark’s platform, business stakeholders, data systems, and key business goals

  • Gain expertise in internal data platforms and tools, understanding their applications across various teams

  • Contribute to high-impact projects by conducting in-depth analyses and investigations

  • Ensure strong QA processes to maintain the accuracy and reliability of insights

  • Provide input on improving reporting processes, defining business metrics, and optimizing data collection methods

Your First 12+ Months:

  • Take full ownership of projects with increasing autonomy, providing long-term insights and strategic recommendations

  • Identify and analyze long-term trends impacting the business and operations

  • Lead discussions and present data-driven insights to key stakeholders and executives

  • Establish yourself as a trusted subject matter expert, proactively answering questions and providing data-backed guidance

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing
     

What you bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, with expertise in business, marketing, or product analytics

  • Advanced SQL skills and strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Python, R, or Spark SQL is a plus

  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and experience working with Data Engineering teams on data warehouse development

  • Experience defining business metrics, gathering requirements, and creating reports for stakeholders

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker (or similar)

  • Knowledge of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing (t-tests, z-tests), and A/B testing methodologies

  • Exceptional ability to communicate data insights clearly and effectively, tailoring messaging for different audiences

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to apply analytical insights to drive decision-making

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a team-oriented, problem-solving mindset

Salary Range:

$125,000.00 - $177,500.00 Annual
