What's exciting about the role

This role reports into the FiPay Testing Team Manager and will be responsible for the coordination and execution of payment software certifications to financial and non-financial acquiring institutions.  Acting as a domain authority, the L3 Certification Analyst interfaces and collaborates with internal and external functional teams with the objective of certifying market ready Verifone products.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute of payment software certifications with financial and non-financial acquiring institutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and acquirer representatives to understand product requirements to ensure successful remediation.
  • Triage and report failed test cases to development departments and facilitate investigation and delivery for any potential solutions.
  • Document the reported certification defects in JIRA, and work with development team to take appropriate corrective actions to improve/correct design.
  • Overview key design decisions, technology choice, structure and configuration of the solution ensuring it aligns with the certification requirements.
  • Report new or recurring problems to development departments and works to solutions.
  • Obtain, clarify, and impart technical knowledge regarding existing and newly released VeriFone products.
  • Identify and present solutions for process improvements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Recognized Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a computer-related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of EMV transactions processing and EMV test tools.
  • Working experience in testing, product validation and payment application certifications in the card payments or banking industry,
  • Working experience with the banking/finance industry and/or payment applications.
  • Sense of urgency and drive to succeed. You should be comfortable working within a deadline driven environment, and flexible to work overtime when needed.
  • Proven track record working in a multitasking and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of the complete end to end of software delivery and standard methodologies.
  • Experience working with hardware, software, QA, and product management teams.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to industry practices and company policies and procedures.
  • Self-motivated fast learner and great teammate who takes initiative and collaborates with others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex technical issues by using standard problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
