Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Key Accounts Manager (Contractor) to oversee and expand our key retail partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for managing high-value retail accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring seamless collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. This is a six month contract to support Key Account management during parental leave. 

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building and scaling large retail account businesses, particularly in premium housewares and mass retail channels. You will play a critical role in developing and executing account strategies, identifying opportunities for expansion, and fostering strong cross-functional relationships to drive business success. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

This role is based in our office in San Francisco, CA and is required to be in-office 3 days per week. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share within key retail accounts
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts
  • Drive sales growth through effective account management, promotional planning, and strategic marketing
  • Provide timely and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to drive success
  • Develop and refine demand forecasts for the key retail channel on a monthly basis
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, operations, marketing, and product development, to ensure seamless execution of account plans
  • Manage and provide guidance to the Associate Account Manager, ensuring alignment on account strategies, priorities, and execution
  • Regularly track and analyze account performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize results
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform account strategies

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the retail industry, preferably in the premium housewares or mass retail channels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and achieve targets
  • Strong analytical skills to track and analyze account performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Proficiency working with Salesforce, Netsuite, Asana, Google Suite

Salary Range: $5,500 - $6,250 semi monthly
