IT Advisory and Analyst Management Lead

Reports to: Technology Services Chief Operating Officer
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Advisory and Analyst Management Lead to oversee and manage relationships with leading IT advisory firms such as ISG, Avasant, and Gartner, as well as industry analysts like HFS Research. This role will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, managing ongoing engagements, and ensuring that the insights and reports from these advisors align with business objectives. The individual will work cross-functionally with senior leadership, IT teams, and external stakeholders to leverage market research and advisory services for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
-Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key analysts and advisory firms, including ISG, Avasant, HFS, Gartner, and others. Ensure consistent communication and engagement with these organizations to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, insights, and research.
-Strategic Advisory Engagement: Oversee the engagement process with advisory firms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business strategies. Develop and manage a comprehensive engagement plan that outlines expectations, deliverables, and timelines.
-Market Research Utilization: Analyze and interpret the research and reports provided by ISG, Avasant, Gartner, HFS, and other analysts to extract actionable insights for the organization. Present these insights to key stakeholders and senior management to support data-driven decision-making.
-Vendor Evaluation & Benchmarking: Lead the evaluation of IT vendors and service providers through advisory reports and market research. Work with cross-functional teams to assess new technologies, services, and potential partners based on the analyst and advisor recommendations.
-Thought Leadership & Innovation: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative. Collaborate with advisory firms to explore new research areas and emerging topics relevant to the company.
-Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, marketing, strategy, and finance teams) to communicate the value and insights derived from advisory services. Ensure the findings are applied to ongoing projects and initiatives.
-Contract & Budget Management: Oversee contracts and budget allocations for advisory and analyst services, ensuring cost-effective engagement while maximizing the value derived from these partnerships.
-Team Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of internal analysts and advisors, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across departments. Ensure that the team remains aligned with the latest market insights and industry benchmarks.
-Reporting & Performance Metrics: Provide regular reports on the value and effectiveness of advisory engagements, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), deliverables, and outcomes. Adjust strategies and tactics as needed to enhance the impact of advisory services.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).7+ years of experience in IT consulting, advisory management, or analyst relations.
-Proven experience in managing relationships with top advisory firms like ISG, Avasant, Gartner, and HFS.Strong understanding of IT industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to leverage advisory reports and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
-Experience with contract management and budget oversight.
-Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across departments.
-High-level project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with IT vendor ecosystems, cloud services, digital transformation, and IT outsourcing.
Prior experience working with or within top-tier IT analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, HFS, ISG, Avasant).Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and automation.
