Job Summary:
We are seeking an Insights Analyst to join our Roblox Brand Partnerships team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in audience insights, data analysis, and in-depth campaign reporting to inform brand and advertising partners. You will help to shape our clients’ understanding of the Roblox audience by leveraging both 1P and 3P party datasets and support day-to-day reactive and proactive analyses. You’ll play a key role in ensuring clients receive comprehensive, actionable insights and accurate recaps to optimize their Roblox strategies.
Role is based in our San Mateo, CA office, Tuesday - Thursday, or remote within the Greater NYC region.
You Will:
- Develop data-driven audience and brand narratives: Extract and analyze 1P and 3P audience insights to craft compelling, insight-led stories that support sales and brand partnership efforts.
- Support RFPs and sales pitches with insights: Work closely with the Brand Partnerships team to provide data that enhances sales proposals, ensuring partners understand the value of advertising on our platform.
- Produce post-campaign reporting: Lead reporting by tracking reach, engagement, and actions across brand and ad campaigns. Partner with cross-functional teams to enable process improvement and automation of reports. Go beyond standard reporting to suggest optimizations in creative strategy, ad placement, and targeting that enhance partner objectives.
- Query, analyze, and structure Roblox 1P datasets: Use SQL and database management tools to extract, clean, and analyze audience behavior, performance data, and user engagement metrics.
- Develop and maintain real-time dashboards: Use data visualization tools (Superset) to create self-service dashboards that allow internal teams and clients to monitor campaign performance, audience insights, and key KPIs.
- Automate and scale reporting workflows: Build reusable SQL query templates and to improve efficiency and accuracy in performance reporting.
- Improve data accessibility: Work closely with Data Science, Product, and Business Operations teams to refine data pipelines and ensure the Brand Partnerships team has reliable access to audience and campaign insights.
You Have:
- 2–3 years of experience in data analysis, ad operations, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, database management, and querying large datasets.
- Experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Superset, Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Familiarity with 3P syndicated audience insights data (e.g. Comscore, GWI, YouGov)
- Strong understanding of digital advertising metrics (e.g. Viewability, Reach, Completion Rates)
- Familiarity with ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, DSPs) and tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Marketing, Computer Science)
- Experience or strong interest in the media or advertising industry
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$128,500—$161,860 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
