DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop and execute strategy to steer solutions to the use of standardized design patterns across Applications, Platforms and Infrastructure with the understanding of business needs while identifying and leveraging synergies across the various areas and technologies. Support onboarding of connectivity/applications ensuring that the proper configuration is in place to support the onboarding of our partners and technology; this will consist of but not limited to Physical connectivity. F5 configuration (Load Balancer), Routing and route propagation (supporting active/active or active passive) communications, documentation and internal approvals for the design as well as insuring least privilege access for communications (firewall policies). Coordinate and lead peer groups to deliver solutions focusing on Network Security environments, meet SLA's, Interface with IT, finance, audit, business unit management to ensure integrated processes, efficient introduction of new technologies, retirement of obsolete technologies and support for business-led initiatives requiring the capabilities of this infrastructure. Leverage automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and Glueware to make recommendations on the automation to further increase simplicity and productivity. Network Architecture Design and implementation of SDN/NFV, SDDC, custom workfiows, automation, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (laaS) capabilities. Network Security Product Management including Hardware/Software lifecycle, Optimization as well as Tooling and monitoring integrations. Work with other teams to implement best practices from Cisco, PaloAlto, F5 designs i.e. high availability clustering, upgrades, migrations and performance optimized strategies. Maintain knowledge and understanding of external developments, market conditions and their impacts. Act as thought leader, innovator and agent of change to influence and drive Information Services strategy and proactively share knowledge with team members to further extend team capability and service excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Network Engineer, IT Security Analyst, or in a related occupation.. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Network Engineer, IT Security Analyst, or in a related occupation .
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Communicating with internal colleagues to work and develop solutions and solve technical problems for the business related to audit, finance, management, and technology; Designing and working with public cloud infrastructure including all connectivity to and from and consult on the network and network security design within the public cloud environments; Automation and building automation scripts in Python, Ansible, Glueware and Tufin; Managing and maintaining technologies within the network security technology area such as Palo Alto, and Cisco Firepower devices; Performing software and hardware certification; Providing roadmap and technology planning for end-of-life products such as F5 Load Balancers and Palo Alto Firewalls and developing technology strategies.
Job Location: 1 Front Street, San Francisco, CA 94111. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $180,000 - $185,000 per year.
