Summary
Reporting to the HR Systems Group, this role will serve as an active partner with HR, IT and functional leaders to perform research and analyses on a broad spectrum of people issues: to optimize employee attraction and selection, performance, growth, engagement, diversity, compensation, and retention. Responsible for all HR Analytics efforts including data governance, reporting & dashboards, employee engagement analysis, predictive modeling and workforce planning. This position will be expected to apply expertise in research and quantitative analysis and data visualization to see beyond the numbers and communicate consultative advice and actionable recommendations to management.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and direct the HR Analytics function.
  • Determine the data needs of the organization and develop an HR Analytics strategy that supports the organization’s goals.
  • Establish strong partnerships and collaborate with IT and HRIS to access and manipulate data, explain data gathering requirements, and display results
  • Partner with HR and recruiting teams on projects to identify and clarify critical issues, deeply understand processes, and analyze data to drive improvements with current processes as well as the implementing new technology and processes.
  • Develop Workforce and People Analytics strategy that aligns with and enables organization and HR strategy.
  • Provide consultative insights and recommendations on key HR trends (sourcing, engagement, retention, etc.) to department/organization leadership.
  • Communicate and present statistical analyses and results, as well as the people and organizational implications to the technical and non-technical audiences; apply expertise in research, quantitative analysis and data visualization to understand implications beyond the quantitative analyses.
  • Keep abreast of external trends on data analytics, measurement, and talent analytics and HR Reporting & Analytics space (and the HR function broadly) to be able to lead innovative approaches
  • Develop analytical models for various HR Areas like Diversity and Inclusion, Compensation, Talent Management
  • Defines and tracks performance metrics, develop scorecards, KPIs and drives improvement initiatives for efficiency based on Analytics
  • Develop forecasting models to drive decisions and strategy as part of Predictive and Prescriptive Analysis for HR.
  • Recommend the best industry practice for development of HR Analytics Strategy and Establish Analytics as a function that will support various HR Initiatives
  • Develop and lead training programs to educate staff on data analytics and how it can be used to improve their day-to-day work
  • May manage or direct the work of team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 12 years related progressive work experience with data analysis
  • Experience with diverse analytics methodologies and approaches
  • Hands-on knowledge of Analytics Tool – Cognos
  • Had experience in HR Domain with PeopleSoft HCM
  • Strong leadership skills; must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  
  • Strong consultative relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and create and analyze data and understand results, patterns, and trends.
  • Familiarity with broader underlying concepts, and ability to communicate persuasively with business partners and management to resolve highly complex problems and recommend or produce best solutions for their client.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Expert knowledge of how to analyze structured and unstructured data using various tools.
  • Qualitative research, design, and analysis including natural language processing and sentiment analysis.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Peoplesoft 9.2 or Similar HCM ERP Applications
  • Experience with Analytics Tools like Tableau
  • Experience in Public Sector / Education Industry
  • Experience with Google Looker Studio
