We’re looking for a Head of Product (VP Level) to lead our product vision, strategy, and execution. This role is an opportunity to lead the future of customer engagement and drive the evolution of a category-defining SaaS platform. The Role


As our product leader, you will be responsible for defining our product strategy and executing a bold vision that makes Appcues the unequivocal leader in user engagement. Your mission is to leverage our extensive legacy, customer base and data asset to build a beautifully simple and autonomous product that removes complexity for our customers—enabling them to engage their users seamlessly throughout the customer lifecycle.


You will lead and grow the product management and design teams, partner closely with engineering, and ensure our R&D investments translate into measurable customer and business impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the Product Vision & Strategy – Define and drive a differentiated product roadmap that aligns with Appcues’ mission and business objectives and inspires our teams to do their best work.
  • Drive the next evolution of the category leveraging our expertise, our customers data and AI to transform our space as it’s exists today
  • Lead with a Customer-First Approach – Foster a product culture that prioritizes customer problems, user delight, and continuous value delivery.
  • Own Product discovery – Ensure that the right problems to solve are prioritized for product teams to maximize customer and strategic impact and shorten time to value.
  • Foster high R&D velocity - Partner with engineering to drive rapid, iterative feature delivery including platform improvements. 
  • Drive Innovation – Leverage data, AI, and first-principles thinking to create breakthrough solutions for our customers.
  • Scale the Product Team – Build, mentor, and develop a world-class product and design organization 
  • Coach and lead with transparency and in a way that fosters ownership and trust 
  • Partner Across the Business – Work closely with GTM leaders, engineering, customers and partners to translate vision into execution and revenue growth in a way that has a high degree of cross functional alignment and buy-in.
  • Establish Key Metrics – Define success, measure outcomes, and iterate to optimize product impact and support our business’ objectives and goals.  
  • Own our offering, and work cross functionally with customer, marketing and engineering leadership to drive business outcomes. 
  • Serve as an active member on our executive teamEnsure what we build and paired with a world class commercialization process that maximizes velocity and minimizes debt 

Who You Are

  • We’re looking for a visionary product leader with a track record of building elegant, high-impact software that customers love.

What You Bring

  • Proven leadership in SaaS – Experience leading product teams in SaaS where design and UX are critical in businesses from $20m-$150m ARR.
  • Customer experience expertise – Deep understanding of customer journeys, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Understanding of technical details around code base composition, engineering metrics, server and data processing management.
  • Skilled at simplifying complexity, taking tooling into expert led, turn key solutions that are easy for C suite executives to see value in and users to get started on.
  • Experience & passion for using data, tooling and models to create agentic and AI models that exponentially improve time to value for customers.
  • First-principles thinker – Skilled at breaking down complex problems into simple, scalable solutions.
  • Strong leadership & influence – Able to build, inspire, and align cross-functional teams.
  • Bias for action – Pragmatic, hands-on, and execution-focused.
  • Expertise and experience working in GTM and martech tools
