About Us:

We're on a mission to make it possible for every person, team, and company to be able to tailor their software to solve any problem and take on any challenge. Computers may be our most powerful tools, but most of us can't build or modify the software we use on them every day. At Notion, we want to change this with focus, design, and craft.

We've been working on this together since 2016, and have customers like Pixar, Mitsubishi, Figma, Plaid, Match Group, and thousands more on this journey with us. Today, we're growing fast and excited for new teammates to join us who are the best at what they do. We're passionate about building a company as diverse and creative as the millions of people Notion reaches worldwide.

Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About the role:

Notion is looking for an experienced and dynamic leader for our Product Operations Team. At Notion, The Product Operations Team focuses on ensuring a robust product feedback loop, coordinating smooth feature launches, and enabling us to deliver a high quality and simple product experience for all users. The person in this role will continue to build out these work-streams, while also defining other areas of ownership and investment for their team.

They’ll also be focused on managing and mentoring all of Notion’s Product Operations Specialists — providing day-to-day support, as well as longer-term coaching for career growth and development. We aim for Product Operations to be the connective tissue between product and user-facing teams, while also increasing the efficiency of our product development process, and driving product quality and user feedback at scale.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Drive Notion’s company-wide approach to product quality — including defining, measuring, and reporting.
  • Spearhead programs and processes to integrate quality into product development — enabling every team to deliver simple, easy-to-use, and delightful products — quickly and efficiently.
  • Build and scale our first engineering Bug SLA program, getting buy-in and support from engineering and leadership.
  • Evolve early access programs (alphas + betas) to scale with the business and support the needs of self-serve, as well as sales-assisted customers.
  • Develop a unified system of user feedback and insights (from both B2C and B2B customers) that drives company-wide, as well as team-level planning and prioritization.
  • Identify opportunities and touch-points for the Product and Go-to-Market (CX, Sales, Marketing) Orgs to stay lock-step — especially for launches and the customer feedback loop.
  • Ensure leadership — especially our CEO, CPO, CTO, and CRO — have consistent and holistic views of product quality, launch readiness, and customer feedback.
  • Work closely with engineering to define, scope, and build internal AI tooling to make your team’s day-to-day responsibilities — like bug triage — more efficient and streamlined.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • You have 5+ years of professional industry experience leading Product Operations Teams or similar.
  • You have a proven track-record of building and managing teams that deliver high quality programs and processes with measurable business value.
  • You excel at identifying operational gaps and needs, and designing long-lasting programs and processes to address them.
  • You excel at partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and Customer Support, and have experience working in close collaboration with these functions to drive continuous improvement across the customer experience lifecycle.
  • You know how to build and maintain a wide network of relationships across a company — especially with senior leadership — collaborating in a ways that builds confidence and drive action.
  • You're a skilled communicator, and know how to adapt your comms approach for different audiences.
