Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Atlassian is looking for a strategic product marketer to lead the PMM team for Trello. Trello is a powerful, delightful productivity tool that is beloved by many, with tens of millions of users in over 150 countries. The product is in the early days of a major pivot and upgrade, shifting from a product designed for project management to an experience optimized for individual productivity in the age of AI. We're very excited about the opportunity here: traditional to-do apps and time management trackers have long left users wanting something more powerful and more integrated to their existing workflows. We are building a powerful new Trello experience powered by AI to capture, organize, and tackle your to-dos from anywhere.
In this role, you will:

  • Develop and refine messaging that communicates the new Trello's value to existing and prospective customers. Ensure that this messaging is consistent across channels (PR, email, social, web, ads, events, etc.) and resonates with our target audience
  • Help shape the future of the product roadmap, including audience segmentation, identifying future hero features, and partnering on monetization strategy
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies aimed at acquiring new users, re-engaging lapsed existing users, and driving existing users to engage with the new Trello experience
  • Monitor the market, competitors, and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities. Use insights to inform marketing strategies and product development
  • Wear many hats, from Core PMM to sales enablement, from content development to community-led growth
  • Lead a small team of talented product marketers by providing mentorship, setting goals, prioritizing/deprioritizing work, and promoting career growth

Your background:

  • Experience: At least 8 years in product marketing (mix of B2C and B2B preferred), or similar field
  • Communication skills: Strong storyteller with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to message
  • Influence: Cross-functional aptitude with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders across from Product, Marketing, and Sales to achieve a shared vision and goals.
  • Thrives in ambiguity: A builder who is comfortable going from 0 - 1 in a start-up like atmosphere within a larger organization
  • Strategic: Able to see the forest for the trees and identify the biggest opportunities rather than anchoring to the status quo; product leaders view you as a top strategic partner
  • Scrappy: Known for being able to do more with less, delivering high quality work quickly without a lot of cycles or reliance on agency resources
  • People Management: At least 2 years managing people. You are experienced at coaching and delegating to team members, but equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves as an IC.
