The OpportunityWe are seeking a Head of Product Design – Onshore Trading & Payments to lead and elevate the onshore exchange and payments experience for our users. This role is pivotal in shaping the design strategy, user experience, and innovation for our onshore trading products, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and compliant trading and payments environment. You are passionately committed to user-centered design that translates into flawless execution. You will craft a visually sophisticated experience while implementing a test/learn/iterate approach based on insight and data.
You’ll lead a global design team, collaborating closely with our Global Head of Design, Product, Engineering, and Compliance leaders to enhance the trading and payments experience. You will be responsible for scaling and evolving the design function, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring our Onshore market’s user experience address the needs of our global audience.
What You’ll Do- Define and drive the long-term design vision for OKX’s onshore trading and payments ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance, and user needs.
- Establish scalable design frameworks, systems, and processes to maintain consistency across products.
- Champion data-informed design, leveraging user research, analytics, and competitive insights to guide decisions.
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing global design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Mentor designers at all levels, providing guidance on career growth, UX best practices, and design thinking.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for design in executive discussions, presenting strategic insights and influencing product roadmaps.
- Oversee end-to-end design for OnShore Trading and Payment products, ensuring a best-in-class, frictionless experience.
- Simplify complex financial workflows (e.g., trading, fiat on/off ramps) into intuitive, accessible, and delightful user experiences.
- Drive innovation in crypto UX, positioning OKX as a leader in fintech design.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- 12+ years of experience in design leadership and management, with a track record of building and scaling teams.
- Extensive experience designing for financial products, preferably in trading, fintech, or payments.
- Strong ability to hire, mentor, and retain top design talent, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Deep understanding of human-centered design principles and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Expertise in breaking down complex financial products into intuitive, user-friendly designs.
- Multi-disciplined leader who builds, develops, and advances high performing teams with strong development and domain capability, analytical, strategic, and operational excellence
- Proven track record of working in fast-paced environments, managing multiple dependencies, and prioritizing tasks independently.
- Hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" mindset, with the ability to be a driver and change agent in an organization.
- Passionate for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends, emerging product technologies and advancements.
- Experience collaborating with PMs, Engineers, Legal, and Compliance to ensure design solutions meet all business and regulatory needs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advocate for design decisions persuasively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Web Design, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Fintech or Crypto industries.
- Background in working with global teams across multiple time zones.

OKX Statement:
The salary range for this position is $262,000 to $395,000. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
