More about the role
Atlassian is looking for a Head of Lifecycle Marketing Operations to join our Global Marketing Operations (GMOPs) team, leading our Lifecycle Marketing Operations (LMO) team. You'll be our go-to Subject Matter Expert in the enterprise lead-to-cash flow, managing the enterprise lead funnel, marketing operations & automation, and campaign launches. You'll partner with marketing stakeholders including Campaigns, Demand, GTM, Events, and Marketing Analytics, your GMOPs counterparts, and cross-functional partners including engineering and sales/sales operations. Your remit will be to ensure the enterprise lead funnel is best in class, and that campaigns, launches, and world-class events are executed flawlessly and efficiently. Optimizing and governing systems and processes within your purview, you'll ensure that as a part of every win your team drives, that the team innovates, grows, and thrives under your vision and leadership. This role requires you to be tech-savvy, detail- and process-oriented, customer-centric, analytical, and a visionary and empathetic leader who is comfortable communicating across both non-technical and technical audiences and marketing leadership.
Roll up your sleeves to embark on a journey of enterprise transformation, leading a team that manages everything from marketing campaign and program setup, to email building and reporting, lead scoring and routing, and the Marketo/ Salesforce sync. Ensure that no leads are left behind, every relevant engagement is accounted for, and that prospects and customers are getting the best experience interacting with Atlassian's brand and marketing campaigns. Exciting projects like evolving data capture and taxonomy, activating personalization at scale, and leveraging AI in the team's daily work await. Leading a team of seasoned marketing professionals, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with global and regional business objectives.
An ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Partner with relevant teams to champion a world-class customer experience, delivering marketing that matters, and ensuring a clean handoff to sales when prospects are ready
  • Establish an enterprise lead-to-cash Center of Excellence (COE) reputation by continuing to raise the bar by improving operational efficiencies, streamlining processes, and enhancing customer and internal stakeholder satisfaction
  • Partner with GMOPs, MarTech, and Data Science teams to inform and evolve martech roadmaps that enable enterprise marketing motions - optimize for performance, efficiencies, and scale; function as the AI transformation lead of the team
  • Own vision and requirements for Marketo and ABM tool roadmaps, and partner with GMOPs and Sales Operations on global Salesforce roadmap, driving additional functionality and maturity over time
  • Ensure enterprise data quality, optimized lead flow, seamless lead activation, and all relevant engagement touch points are measurable and actionable - e.g. improve data completeness, evolve lead scoring, and mature lead funnel and visibility into marketing/ sales handoffs to improve MQL-SQL conversion and marketing-influenced pipeline
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse, remote team of marketing FTEs, contractors, and agencies, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration, and excellence in execution, aligned against a shared mission and goals; onboard, manage, and optimize external agency resources across various time zones for optimal support and results
  • Analyze operational and performance data, generate actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement; ensure business impact and operational efficiency goals are met
  • Provide regular updates to marketing leadership on campaign execution, innovation, challenges, and opportunities; communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure positive working relationship continues to evolve - proactively resolve pain points and roadblocks

On day one you have

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or relevant technical discipline; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing operations role with deep expertise in Marketo (or equivalent marketing automation tool) and Salesforce; experience in sales ops or rev ops preferred
