We’re seeking a talented GTM Engineer to join our RevOps function, supporting B2B growth and driving growth in our enterprise segment. You'll play a critical role in driving millions of dollars of pipeline through targeted, automated initiatives. You'll leverage our strong brand, substantial inbound, and technical expertise to build a proactive, scalable, and automated system for identifying, engaging, and converting high-value business opportunities.

You'll be laser-focused on building Sales Pipeline. You have a very high technical capability and strong business acumen, to develop sophisticated automated campaigns (e.g., monitoring job changes at target companies, identifying companies using relevant technology stacks—organizations already investing in video tools or learning management systems—and automating personalized outreach based on these signals at scale).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Buyer journey orchestration: Architect and optimize the end-to-end buyer journey, from ICP identification to revenue conversion.
  • Leverage technical proficiency: Use SQL/Python to integrate growth automation tools, APIs, and maintain the lead generation tech stack.
  • Execute and manage outbound campaigns; implement robust feedback loops to analyze performance and refine strategies; develop automated nurture journeys for enterprise prospects.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align growth initiatives with business objectives.
  • Own scalability: Ensure systems and campaigns scale effectively with increasing pipeline targets.
  • Perform detailed data analysis and pipeline reporting.

Key Attributes:

  • Strong business acumen combined with deep technical expertise.
  • Data-driven experimentation mindset, skilled in designing and testing growth strategies.
  • Proficiency in building scalable automated systems.
  • Adaptability and quick learner of new growth technologies.
  • Experimentation culture: Rapid experimentation—testing, failing fast, iterating, and scaling successful approaches.

Tools & Technologies:

  • Growth Tool Orchestration: Cargo or similar.
  • CRM: Salesforce, Gong.
  • Email Automation: Instantly, Outreach, etc.
  • IP Enrichment tools.
  • API integrations.
  • Technical proficiency: SQL, Python, or equivalent.

The base salary range for this role is $155,000 - 180,000. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and location, and they may vary from the amount above.

About Descript

Descript is building a simple, intuitive, fully-powered editing tool for video and audio — an editing tool built for the age of AI. We are a team of 150 — with a proven CEO and the backing of some of the world's greatest investors (OpenAI, Andreessen Horowitz, Redpoint Ventures, Spark Capital).

Descript is the special company that's in possession of both product market fit and the raw materials (passionate user community, great product, large market) for growth, but is still early enough that each new employee has a measurable influence on the direction of the company.

Benefits include a generous healthcare package, catered lunches, and flexible vacation time. Our headquarters are located in the Mission District of San Francisco, CA. We're looking to hire people who are local and able to join us at the office when needed. We're flexible, and you're an adult—we don't expect or mandate that you're in the office every day. But we do believe there are valuable and serendipitous moments of discovery and collaboration that come from working together in person.

Descript is an equal opportunity workplace—we are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. We believe in actively building a team rich in diverse backgrounds, experiences, and opinions to better allow our employees, products, and community to thrive.
