About Rox

Rox is building the AI-native revenue operating system for modern go-to-market teams. Backed by Sequoia, GV, and General Catalyst, we’re working with some of the most ambitious enterprise teams to replace fragmented CRM workflows with intelligent, autonomous systems. Rox connects data across the GTM stack, deploys AI agents to do real work, and gives revenue leaders a clear, shared picture of what actually drives outcomes.

We’re a small, fast-moving Series A team taking on one of software’s most entrenched categories — and we’re winning by combining deep technical rigor with obsessive focus on usefulness.

About the Growth Team

Growth at Rox is a first-class function — not a support layer. This team sits at the intersection of Sales, Product, Marketing, and Data, and is responsible for turning signal into motion: identifying where leverage exists, designing repeatable growth systems, and executing with speed and precision.

The Growth Strategy team is already in motion, with five in-seat team members actively driving pipeline, experimentation, and GTM execution. This role exists to lead that team, raise the bar, and scale both the strategy and the people behind it.

About the Role

This is a Growth Strategy Lead role for someone who can both lead from the front and build a team around them.

You will take ownership of a five-person Growth Strategy team, setting direction, coaching execution, and ensuring the work ladders directly to revenue impact. At the same time, you’ll partner closely with the Chief Growth Officer, operating as a thought partner on strategy, prioritization, and how Rox scales its go-to-market motion.

This is not a passive leadership role. You will be hands-on — designing growth plays, pressure-testing ideas, and jumping in where needed — while also building the systems, processes, and team required to sustain growth over time.

If you enjoy operating at both the strategic and execution layers — and want real ownership — this role is built for that.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage a team of 5 Growth Strategists, setting clear goals, priorities, and expectations

  • Partner directly with the Chief Growth Officer to shape and execute Rox’s growth strategy

  • Design, launch, and iterate on GTM initiatives across pipeline generation, activation, and expansion

  • Translate product capabilities into concrete growth motions and repeatable playbooks

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Data to align execution

  • Identify gaps in coverage, capability, or process — and hire to close them

  • Build the foundation for how the Growth Strategy function scales as Rox grows

What Success Looks Like
  • In your first few weeks: You understand Rox’s product, ICP, and growth motion well enough to guide team priorities

  • Within a few months: The Growth Strategy team is operating with clarity, speed, and measurable impact

  • Over time: You’ve helped build a durable growth engine — with strong people, clear playbooks, and visible revenue impact

Must-Have Skills
  • Experience leading growth, revenue strategy, or GTM teams in high-growth B2B SaaS environments

  • A strong track record of people leadership — coaching, developing, and scaling teams

  • Ability to operate at both the strategic and execution levels

  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with evolving process

  • Strong cross-functional instincts and experience partnering with senior leaders

  • Clear, structured communication — especially when translating strategy into action

Why This Role Exists

Rox is scaling, and growth can’t be accidental. This role exists to ensure we have a leader who can both run today’s growth engine and build the next version of it — in close partnership with the Chief Growth Officer.

If you’re excited by ownership, team leadership, and the chance to shape how a company grows from the inside, this is a rare opportunity to step into a role with real influence and long-term impact.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
