About Cartesia

Our mission is to build the next generation of AI: ubiquitous, interactive intelligence that runs wherever you are. We're pioneering the model architectures that will make this possible.

Our first product is Sonic, the fastest, ultra-realistic speech generation model. Our customers use Sonic to build cutting edge voice agents (in industries as diverse as customer support and healthcare) and the next generation of digital media experiences (audiobooks, podcasts, gaming, character chat, and more).

Our founding team met as PhDs at the Stanford AI Lab, where we invented State Space Models or SSMs, a new primitive for training large-scale foundation models. Our team combines deep expertise in model innovation and systems engineering paired with a design-minded product engineering team to build and ship cutting edge models and experiences. We're funded by leading investors at Index Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners, along with Factory, Conviction, A Star, General Catalyst, SV Angel, Databricks and others.

Role responsibilities

We’re hiring our first Growth team member to build and lead our growth strategy and expansion. As a Growth Lead, you will own our go-to-market strategy and customer acquisition, developing an inbound pipeline that will work in synergy with our product-led, self-serve motion and outbound enterprise sales team.

In this role, you will

  1. Design and execute a robust multi-channel customer acquisition strategy and experiment roadmap.

  2. Test, optimize, and scale marketing channels, such as content/SEO, paid/organic social, SEM, and event marketing.

  3. Own marketing OKRs, forecasting, budgeting, and spend, while demonstrating sustainable growth through healthy ROI and payback metrics

  4. Develop a best-in-class growth team leveraging contractors, agencies, and FTEs to scale quickly and efficiently

  5. Implement tooling and automation to track, target, and monitor marketing activities (including but not limited to audience building, lead capture, performance management, and attribution)

  6. Plan and orchestrate cross-functional product launches, feature releases, and other company updates optimizing for prospect discovery and customer engagement

You’ll have autonomy to shape the growth function at Cartesia and directly impact how we scale.

What we’re looking for

  1. You have 6+ years of experience in growth marketing with a proven track record

  2. You have significant experience with scaling at least one channel to 6+ figures per month with positive ROI

  3. You have experience building and managing a world-class growth team and cultivating cross-functional relationships

  4. You have a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to execute and deliver scalable zero-to-one results

  5. You are self-sufficient and excel at wearing multiple hats in a fast-moving early-stage startup environment

 Nice-to-haves

  1. Experience marketing generative AI products

  2. Early-stage startup experience (seed to Series B)
