We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Manager of Sales Finance to build and lead our Sales Finance function. This person will partner closely with the GTM (Go-to-Market) organization and cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, provide actionable insights, and ensure financial discipline. The ideal candidate has deep financial acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and proven experience partnering with Sales and Marketing teams in a SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis for GTM

  • Own the sales and marketing financial models, including annual planning, forecasting, pipeline analysis, and budget management.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track key SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, pipeline conversion, etc.) for management and GTM leaders.

Business Partnering & Strategic Influence

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leadership to provide insights on pipeline coverage, sales performance, and revenue trends.
  • Translate financial data into strategic recommendations for improving sales productivity, revenue growth, and margin expansion.

Sales Compensation & Incentive Strategy

  • Work closely with HR and Sales leadership to design, model, and refine sales compensation and bonus plans that align with company objectives.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of incentive structures and ensure proper tracking and payout reconciliation.

Forecasting & Pipeline Management

  • Partner with Sales Operations to assess pipeline health, identify trends or risks, and develop accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes and data quality.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular updates for the executive leadership, and board regarding sales performance, pipeline status, and revenue drivers.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, accounting standards, and company policies.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing Sales Finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the Finance organization and across the company.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of finance experience with a focus on FP&A or sales finance, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment.

Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue recognition principles, and subscription-based business models.
  • Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP tools; advanced Excel and/or BI tool skills (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.

For full time hires, the hiring base pay range for this position is between $173,000 and $203,000. Beyond base pay, Blend benefits and perks are described below.  

Final base pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay will be adjusted for part-time roles to reflect scheduled hours.
