idX is currently looking for a dynamic Global Procurement Manager to join the team! This is a critical role responsible for developing and implementing a unified global procurement strategy across idX Corporation's network of manufacturing resource partners. This role will be instrumental in streamlining procurement processes, optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and fostering strong relationships with key suppliers across Asia, Europe, and Mexico. This individual will be a key driver in aligning global manufacturing assets to a cohesive operational strategy, supporting the seamless delivery of idX products.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: up to 50% (ability to travel internationally as needed to Asia, Europe, Mexico as needed)

 
Core Responsibilities:
1. Global Procurement Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and Implement Global Procurement Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive global procurement strategy that aligns with idX’s overall business objectives and supports the needs of clients. This includes defining sourcing strategies for key materials and components.
  • Standardization of Processes: Establish and implement standardized procurement processes, tools, and templates across all regions (Asia, Europe, MX) to ensure consistency and efficiency. 
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence: Continuously monitor global market trends, analyze supplier performance, identify potential risks and opportunities, and adapt sourcing strategies accordingly. Stay informed on best practices in global procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify cost savings, improve quality, and reduce lead times. This will include conducting RFQs, negotiating pricing and contracts, and establishing preferred supplier relationships.

 
2. Supplier Relationship Management & Performance:

  • Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select new and existing suppliers based on performance, quality, capacity, pricing, and alignment with idX's values and strategic goals. Develop a robust supplier evaluation framework.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key global suppliers. Serve as a primary point of contact for supplier escalations and issue resolution.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, including on-time delivery, quality, and cost. Regularly assess supplier performance and develop corrective action plans as needed.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, terms, and conditions. Work closely with legal counsel to mitigate risks.

 
3. Global Alignment & Collaboration:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, engineering, quality, and finance, to ensure alignment between procurement activities and overall business needs.
  • Regional Coordination: Collaborate with regional operations teams in China, Europe, and Mexico to ensure a unified and consolidated approach to global procurement. Act as a central resource for global procurement information and best practices.
  • Global Brand Support: Understand the specific needs and requirements of idX's global partners and ensure that procurement strategies effectively support the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions.
  • Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate procurement strategies, plans, and results to all stakeholders, including senior management.

 
4. Cost Optimization & Risk Management:

  • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the supply chain, including negotiating better pricing, optimizing inventory levels, and exploring alternative sourcing options.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the global procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or geopolitical events, and develop mitigation plans. Implement risk management strategies.

 
5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements to procurement processes, systems, and tools.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data to drive decision-making, identify trends, and optimize procurement performance.
  • Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry best practices in global procurement and incorporate them into idX’s operations.

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a strong focus on global operations.
  • Proven experience managing and developing strong supplier relationships across multiple geographic locations (Asia, Europe, Mexico preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing global procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics and risk management.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
  • Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus).

Compensation & Benefit Information: 
Salary Pay Range:  $120,000-140,000 annually dependent on experience*
                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living  

 

Bonus/Incentive Pay
