Join the GCB Korea team covering local headquartered clients. Your role will involve managing internal processes for deal executions, approvals, regulatory reporting, and client relationship management. Our team helps our large corporations and public sector organizations meet their objectives in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management, and investments. Leverage the capital strength of J.P. Morgan Chase to help clients grow their business.
As a Corporate Banker within our Global Corporate Banking business, you will be working with a team of professionals, leveraging the firm's resources to develop customized financial solutions for our clients. You will assist and guide Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, other Associates and Analysts with all client activities. Your expertise will expand in areas of managing internal processes for deal executions, internal approvals, business aspects of regulatory reporting and ongoing management of client relationships. This role provides an opportunity to grow and solve problems for clients in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments.
Job responsibilities

  • Manage corporate banking client relationships, and directly interface with Treasurer / senior finance manager level to meet their financing and/or transaction banking requirements
  • Assist with marketing Banking products, including: private placements, ABS/Conduit, FX, Flow derivatives, Commodities, Sales & Trading, Treasury Services, Securities Services, and Asset Wealth Management
  • Run comprehensive analysis of client's business /credit worthiness to identify opportunities that align with JPMorgan's array of corporate banking products and to help convert the client analysis into concrete financial solutions / recommendations
  • Co-ordinate client Know Your Client (KYC) requirements according to JPMorgan standards for both, onboarding of new clients and periodic renewals
  • Conduct detailed client screening and associated disposition processes of negative media, financial crimes, sanctions, and/or reputation risk, etc.
  • Support client engagement and new transaction processes, development of forward-looking new business plans for clients and the maintenance of existing business relationships
  • Monitor comprehensive balance sheet, including portfolio reviews and Balance Sheet / Loan Pricing submissions


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a client lead role (VP or equivalent) in corporate banking
  • Knowledge of corporate banking products, including loans, bonds, FX, and transaction banking is essential
  • Sound commercial judgment
  • Strong communication skills both in Korean and English
  • Outgoing personality and ability to engage others in active dialogue
  • Ability to build trust of clients and internal stakeholders


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience working in the Credit Department, Leveraged Finance and/or Debt Capital Markets is an advantage
  • Understanding of flow derivatives, commodities, and securities processing is an advantage
