The Opportunity That Awaits You:   

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey that will revolutionize the way men suffering from BPH are treated? Join us as a Firmware Test Engineer to ensure firmware quality within a complex medical device product through the development and execution of firmware test plan by way of verification procedures based upon firmware and system specifications. 

What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

  • Support new product development and design changes to existing products in ensuring compliance with company’s Quality System.
  • Perform firmware functional testing and integration testing.
  • Develop automation test frameworks and automation test scripts for firmware testing.
  • Develop unit tests.
  • Create and review firmware test protocols and test reports.
  • Create, maintain, and validate test tools that facilitate interaction with software and hardware peripherals.
  • Develop and validate hardware test fixtures.
  • Review product design requirements and firmware requirements to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  • Participate and provide feedback on risk-based code and design reviews.
  • Assist in product design documentation reviews for safety, consistency, traceability, and compliance to regulations (such as FDA QSR design control requirements).
  • Log software issues and track progress of bug fixes.
  • Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the Procept BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.
  • Understand and adhere to PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Policy.
  • Understand and adhere to PROCEPT BioRobotics EHS Policy.

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in firmware automation testing.
  • Experience coding in C, Python or C#.
  • Experience developing test frameworks and adding hooks for automation.
  • Experience with Hardware in loop testing.
  • Experience working with Test Case management tools like JAMA.
  • Experience working with management and defect tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced company.
  • Experience working on projects that follow Agile methodology.

The Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess

  • Experience with medical device testing or development.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304, and familiarity with FDA GMP.

Work Authorization Status: Citizen / Permanent Resident

 

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $100,000-118,000 per year.

Plus, eligibility for an annual bonus and equity/RSUs.

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY

Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
