As FinOps Analyst, you’ll assist customer teams in understanding the FinOps methodology and provide guidance on how to mature the organization in the FinOps capabilities. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, visualizing, and optimizing IT costs and utilization for cloud, platform, commercial software, DevSecOps product and solutions. You will play an important role in integrating IT and business, enabling cost transparency, showback, and chargeback to support near-term and long-term planning and financial projections.

What you’ll do:
- Develops and champions cloud infrastructure cost management best practices
- Partners with the agencies finance, procurement, & engineering teams to help measure and manage their cloud infrastructure costs. Be proficient with public cloud technology tools to help drive FinOps practices and methodologies.
- Builds analytical models to provide data-driven guidance on cloud infrastructure spend.
- Creates utilization and forecasting models to predict future outcomes of cloud infrastructure spend and usage.
- Creates and maintains internal documentation on FinOps and cost optimization processes.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- 3+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, GCP and/or Oracle cloud services.
- 2+ years of experience working in a DoD or other Federal Government environment
- Deep understanding of CSP FinOps tools.
- Experience with relational databases, data extraction, and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of Federal Government IT procurement processes.
- Understanding of industry best practices related to Cloud resource tagging and tagging enforcement through automation.
