Job Description:

KEV Group is looking for a highly skilled Financial Analyst, FP&A to prepare and analyze business and management reports in support of KEV’s planning and decision-making processes. You will perform a range of functions tied to business analysis including but not limited to building annual budgets, forecasting, monthly and weekly variance analysis, KPI reporting and other ad-hoc analysis. You will report to the VP FP&A and have some exposure to other senior executives. You will be a self-starter, who is able to work independently, meet tight deadlines and thrive in situations without perfect information. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the budgeting/forecasting process and monthly variance analysis by building templates, consolidating data, and analyzing data.
  • Update existing financial models, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Revenue, and Cost projections.
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to understand data and systems and help build insightful and user-friendly reports for the leadership teams
  • Incorporate critical thinking skills in financial analysis, strategic analysis, and business modeling to provide robust analysis to support internal stakeholders’ decision-making.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements and optimization.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation and automation of standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Identify and prepare business reporting requirements, validating for accuracy and integrity of the data being collected and reported.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business is required
  • Must have strong business acumen and having or pursuing a CPA certification is a plus
  • Previous work experience as a Financial Analyst is required
  • Proven ability to translate rough financial concepts into final reports or summaries for presentation to management is required as is the ability to work independently
  • Advanced skills in Excel required.  Experience with PowerBI, Sales Force, Net Suite and FP&A Planning Tools is an asset
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and relationship building skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment meeting tight deadlines and being able to prioritize effectively is required
  • Proven attention to accuracy and detail is required
  • Ability to work independently
