As the Financial Analyst at Strava, you will work on the Finance team to support our company’s rapid and sustained growth. The role will be essential in scaling the capacity of our team to keep pace with the growth of the company overall. This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills and experience that will serve as the basis for a career in Finance in the tech industry.
We follow a flexible hybrid model that generally translates to around half your time on-site in our San Francisco office —roughly three days per week.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:
- Build financial models: work on revenue and expense forecasting.
- Monitor business performance: partner with other departments and teams to monitor business trends to report out to the management team and overall company.
- Work on financial reporting: partner with the accounting team to provide internal and external financial reporting materials.
- Play a key role in preparation of materials for the Board of Directors and other critical meetings.
You will be successful here by:
- Having a growth mindset and willingness to learn and apply new concepts.
- Balancing near-term and longer term projects.
- Developing positive cross functional relationships to help inform financial decisions.
- Forming insights from financial and subscription data to support decision making.
- Using tools and resources to help improve the team’s efficiency.
We’re excited about you because:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- Prior experience in professional services (investment banking, private equity, consulting) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and Powerpoint/Google Slides.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Experience with SQL, data visualization, accounting ERP, and FP&A systems a plus.
Compensation Overview:
At Strava, we know our employees are the most important ingredient to our success, and our compensation and total rewards programs reflect that. We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future. Compensation: $95,000-$101,000. The base salary posted is within the compensation range for this role. This range reflects base pay only and does not include equity, or benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
