We are looking for a dynamic Executive Assistant to join our Engineering organization providing direct support for our Chief Technology Officer. As an Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role not only in keeping the organization running smoothly and efficiently, but inspiring morale and team building. You will have the opportunity to partner directly with the Engineering leadership team to ensure that the day-to-day operations and schedules are accounted for and in motion. In addition, this person will lead the planning and coordinating of Software team events.

Please note that this role is on-site at HQ in San Mateo, CA.


  • Manage the calendar in a proactive and thoughtful manner for our CTO.
  • Execute on external events in tandem with the Engineering executive and leadership team (i.e. conferences, speaking engagements, team building).
  • Own special projects associated with our Engineering executive and leadership team.
  • Manage travel & expedite expense reports.
  • Collaborate with other members of the administrative support team.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of Executive Assistant experience to VP-level stakeholders within tech.
  • Experience working within an Engineering organization strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple calendars in tandem. 
  • Preference for executive level coordinating and event planning experience.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with creative problem solving and superior communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset to handle regular activities without prompting, and advise in advance of potential issues.
  • Track record of accomplishment in all previous roles.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to navigate and flourish in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Proficient using Google G-Suite.

This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$90,000$110,000 USD
