The Enterprise Tech Lead plays a pivotal role in providing technical leadership, strategic direction, and oversight across multiple major accounts involving a diverse spectrum of projects. These projects encompass software development, systems integration, cloud migration, staff augmentation, managed services, and organizational change initiatives. The primary objective is to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects by mitigating risk, identifying and addressing blockers, ensuring quality, aligning with customer expectations, and driving strategic value. This role includes responsibilities for both project delivery and governance. The Enterprise Tech Lead is responsible for working in collaboration with the Cloud Practice Leaders, Business Development Team and Field CTOs to drive technical strategy, and sales GTM for specific technologies for CDW customers. Key Areas of Responsibility Technology Leadership
* Lead technical discussions with clients, provide technical guidance to project teams, and drive the adoption of best practices and standards.
* Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends.
* Conduct project reviews and architectural assessments. Project Governance and Delivery Management
* Identify obstacles impacting project progress and collaborate with teams to resolve them.
* Optimize project delivery timelines through effective resource allocation and process improvement. Implement and champion Agile methodologies.
* Facilitate communication and alignment between project stakeholders, delivery teams, and management. Proactively manage stakeholder expectations.
* Participate in the initiation phase of complex projects to establish sound practices and set projects up for success from the outset. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
* Work closely with project managers, delivery leads, architects, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
* Oversee the technical execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Manage project risks and issues.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define and translate business objectives into actionable technical roadmaps.
* Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
* Proactively identify and address potential risks and challenges, ensuring project alignment with overall business strategy.
* Oversee multiple concurrent projects within major accounts, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with customer expectations.
* Define project success criteria and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
* Proactively manage risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project stability and success.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in project development and delivery.
* Design and architect technical solutions that meet client needs and align with business objectives. Create technical documentation and presentations. Sales Support
* Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities, develop proposals, and present solutions to clients.
* Provide technical expertise during the sales process. Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Continuous Improvement
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and tools.
* Contribute to the development of best practices and knowledge sharing within the team. Education and/or Skill-Set Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
* 7+ years of experience in deployment of private/public cloud solutions
* Knowledge and skill level in identified competencies meet minimum requirements for role
* Previous direct customer consulting experience or equivalent understanding of role responsibilities What you will do
* Proven experience leading and delivering complex technical projects.
* Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps practices, software development methodologies, and project management frameworks.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience with client-facing roles and a customer-centric approach to project delivery.
* Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions. What we expect of you
* Public Cloud Certification: AWS/GCP/Azure
* Additional technology areas and experience: Python, Cloud platform specific automation tooling, additional scripting languages, additional software development languages, data experience, networking experience
* Previous consulting experience Pay range: $148,000 - $205,600 depending on experience and skill set Annual bonus target of 25% subject to terms and conditions of plan Benefits overview: https://cdw.benefit-info.com/ Salary ranges may be subject to geographic differentials
