About the role

In August of 2021, Hex began building out its Sales team. Since then our customer base has grown, we have a ton of momentum in the market, and we’re continuing to build a world-class sales organization.

We’re looking for an Enterprise Sales Leader to join our Sales organization to build and scale the enterprise team from the ground up. You will be tasked with creating and executing a strategy that drives revenue growth in the enterprise space while building a high-performing team of 6-8 Enterprise Account Executives. The Enterprise Sales Leader will need to establish foundational sales processes, ensure predictable revenue generation, and develop an effective talent development model to continuously improve performance and customer acquisition. The ultimate goal is to drive significant ARR growth in the enterprise segment, positioning the company as a leader in the SaaS space.

We’ve seen incredible success growing our customer base in this category with companies like Toast, Cruise, Rivian and many more. We intend to double down on this success and make Enterprise accounts central to our growth strategy

What you will do

On any given day you might find yourself:

  • Recruit and develop top tier Enterprise sales talent. This person should be a world class people manager with a track record of building high performance teams.
  • Think strategically about the goals and focus of the Enterprise segment. This person will be responsible for refining our territory strategy, collaborating tightly with marketing on pipeline development programs and working closely with EPD on understanding the needs and priorities of the Enterprise customer base.
  • Develop and reinforce repeatable process and execution. This person will play a key role in refining our Enterprise sales playbook, ensuring we have predictability and rigor in how we’re executing our sales motion.
  • Achieving segment ARR targets
  • Ensure Quota Capacity coverage - Meeting hiring goals and ensuring new AEs hit ramp targets
  • Managing individual performance - ensure consistent quota participation across the team
  • Enterprise new logo acquisition - be building the future Enterprise customer base
  • Horizontal expansion - build the playbook for getting wider in accounts via new product adoption

Who you might beTo be successful in this role, you will:

  • Proven track record selling technical software in the data, DS/ML, or analytics space
  • Can speak confidently about the challenges data practitioners encounter in their day-to-day workflows
  • Capable of coaching reps on large, complex deal cycles involving multiple customer stakeholder groups
  • World class sales execution - they’ve been in a sales role and demonstrated top tier performance
  • Ability to coach and deliver strategic guidance to senior reps - they can move beyond the tactical and help reps think through the bigger picture in accounts
  • Rigorous, detail oriented execution - they know how to reinforce process and level up the team
  • Data driven decision making - They use data to identify trends across the team and shift focus accordingly
  • Operate as a business leader - they have the ability to set goals beyond ARR attainment for a core segment and rally cross-functional partners around them

The on-target-earnings (OTE) for this role is: $400,000 - $450,000.
The salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience. Our Recruiting team will be able to provide more details during the interview process.
