The Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to support multi-functional development programs. Come be part of the team that delivers groundbreaking products for businesses and organizations of all sizes. As an EPM, you will work closely with our Software Engineering, Product Management, and multi-functional teams across business units to support products through all phases of product development. Our goal is to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

What You Will Do

  • Drive large-scale new product introduction (NPI) multi-functional programs for the Hardware Program Management Organization according to current Product Development Methodology.
  • Own, build, organize, and manage project plans for key initiatives, including reporting/briefing, execution and tracking of program work, achievements, action items, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Develop resilient working relationships and support multi-functional teams that build tooling for hardware manufacturing operations, supply chain, sourcing, and logistics to understand and deliver on business goals and priorities.
  • Build and supervise overall program prototype allocations, budgets, PO’s for development requirements, equipment, logistics, phase gate reviews, approvals, and headcount throughout the NPI process.
  • Adhere to metrics and governance for Meraki’s process and drive process improvements.
  • Supervise various endeavors for research and development on new components, NPIs, and Sustaining.
  • Lead JDM or CM proto-build plans ensuring allocations are accurate and correlate to build quantity, including support for material readiness, test, and logistics.
  • Mentor and provide opportunities for newer team members, and assist in team initiatives related to the PMO.

Who You Are

You have deep program and project management experience and the ability to implement sophisticated initiatives successfully with high-value outcomes, stakeholder engagement and alignment, and seamless change management and communication. You are detail-oriented, efficient, organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment. You have excellent collaboration, communication, and writing skills. You take initiative, are comfortable trying new things, making suggestions, and get excited about driving important work in partnership with leadership. You have excellent judgment, are trustworthy, and respect confidential information. Your ability to define success, help set measurable goals, prioritize, and drive the right outcomes for the Technical Program Management Team are key to success.

Your Skills

  • At least 2+ years of program management experience leading hardware, embedded, and networking products (REQUIRED)
  • 5-6+ years of program management experience in software, hardware, embedded, networking, or cloud technologies or products.
  • 2-4+ years of new product introduction experience in software, hardware, embedded, networking, or cloud technologies/products (REQUIRED).
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and executives in leading large teams, including developing, launching, and maintaining team rituals and setting agendas for and running team meetings.
  • Experience working with project planning tools (Excel, Gantt charts, Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint).
  • Project management professional certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, lead, and deliver simultaneous projects/deliverables under deadline pressure.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and listening skills.
  • Superior leadership, collaboration, facilitation, influencing, and relationship-building skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Curiosity and strong problem-solving and research skills.
  • Willingness to tackle new and different challenges with a positive attitude and perseverance.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining management processes, training curriculum, and related programs.

Compensation Range:

$149,600$214,100 USD

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%.  Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
