Our team values pushing boundaries and delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. If you are passionate about crypto, blockchain, and working alongside world-class colleagues who push you to be your best, this is the place for you.

What You Will Be Doing:

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team within the Consumer Product Group, focusing on enabling faster, cheaper, and more intuitive peer-to-peer (P2P) payments and crypto transactions. You will oversee the development of key features and infrastructure across web and mobile platforms, ensuring seamless and efficient crypto send and receive experiences.

The products you’ll manage include the Coinbase retail app, advanced trade, dapps, staking, and Bitcoin Lightning integration, all aimed at becoming the #1 self-custody wallet in the market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of full-stack engineers, driving the development of intuitive and scalable P2P payment solutions across web and mobile platforms.

  • Contribute to the evolution of our crypto services architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in payment flows.

  • Break down complex projects into manageable tasks, leading iterative design and implementation to drive continuous improvement.

  • Recruit and build a world-class engineering team, partnering with our talent organization to attract and retain top-tier engineers.

  • Own engineering processes and SLAs, ensuring high reliability, quality, and on-time delivery of features.

As part of this role, you will partner with the cross-functional app architecture team to align on strategic payment infrastructure.

What We Look for in You:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years of engineering management experience.

  • Experience leading teams that build P2P payment systems, crypto transaction services, and consumer-facing fintech or blockchain products.

  • Strong background in full-stack engineering, with expertise in Go and other relevant technologies.

  • Deep understanding of Bitcoin, crypto networks, and Lightning payments, with a passion for shaping the future of decentralized finance.

  • Proven track record in designing scalable, high-availability systems, particularly in crypto send/receive and payments infrastructure.

  • Experience working on multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.

  • Strategic mindset, balancing long-term technical vision with short-term execution.

  • Hands-on technical leadership, capable of reviewing code, troubleshooting incidents, and guiding architectural decisions.

  • Passion for crypto and Web3 innovation, driving you to contribute at a high level in a rapidly evolving space.
