  • Management of Independent Engineer and Owner’s Engineering teams to facilitate project and organizational
    goals related to Generate-owned community solar projects.
  • Management of all technical designs, revisions, and energy models against Generate standardized specifications.
  • Interpretation of incoming designs against Generate standardized specifications.
  • Own energy models from acquisition through COD
  • Management of technical RFIs and responses through construction
  • Interface with utilities & AHJs to support interconnection and achievement of COD.
  • Facilitate communication with the internal Generate construction leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Project Delivery team to respond to 3rd party financing deliverables.
  • Assist in improving operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and technical business
    development.
  • Engage with a range of external counterparties and partners to close open issues.
  • Off-board projects to the designated Asset Manager at COD

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission
  • 5-7 years’ experience in solar construction engineering and/or project management, with detailed understanding of
    energy modeling
  • Leadership skills to support the technical delivery of Generate Capital projects.
  • Organizational skills to manage critical deliverables across multiple teams/projects
  • Communication skills to navigate internal and external reviews and reporting.
  • Extensive background in reviewing and interpreting Independent Engineering Reports, Purchase Power
    Agreements, Interconnect Agreements, and EPC Agreements
  • Experience managing non-ministerial permitting preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and communication networks
    and service procurement preferred.
  • Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills.

Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $137,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
