Engineering Manager, Product

As an Engineering Manager, Product at Instabase, you will lead a team responsible for the full-stack development of enterprise software, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-impact solutions. This role requires a combination of strong technical expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to foster an engineering culture of innovation and excellence.

The Product Engineering team at Instabase is responsible for all products across the platform, including core ML capabilities, no-code/low-code tools for automation, and scalable execution backends. Our teams serve both external customers and internal users, solving real-world use cases through frequent cross-team collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Team Leadership – Build, manage, and develop a team of high-performing engineers, providing mentorship and career development while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with product, design, and technical writing teams to define the roadmap and drive execution.
  • End-to-End Execution – Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from capacity planning and roadmapping to prototyping and production deployment.
  • Technical Leadership – Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions within your product area.
  • Quality & Operational Excellence – Establish and uphold best practices to maintain a high-quality bar for all deliverables, ensuring reliability, scalability, and usability.
  • Innovation & AI Integration – Leverage modern AI tools to improve team productivity and enhance product capabilities.

About You

  • Experience – 5+ years of engineering management experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • AI & Data Expertise – Strong background in AI, ML, and data-driven products, with experience building and scaling intelligent applications.
  • Startup Mentality – Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment, navigating ambiguity, and driving impactful results.
  • Technical Proficiency – Deep knowledge of modern technology stacks, including cloud infrastructure, container orchestration systems, TypeScript, React, and related tools.
  • SaaS & Enterprise Experience – Proven ability to deliver SaaS-based enterprise software solutions at scale.
  • Process & Productivity – Experience implementing SDLC, DevOps best practices, and leveraging modern productivity software (Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.).
  • AI-Driven Development – Passion for integrating modern AI tools to optimize development workflows.
