Key Qualifications

Proficiency in C and scripting languages, such as Python

Strong embedded SW fundamentals, including knowledge of design and development flows, real-time constraints, concurrency, and multi-processor systems, caching and virtual memory

Hands-on experience and working knowledge of IO protocols such as I2C, SPMI, UART, GPIO

Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces, register and interrupt programming, bare-metal software development, clock and power management

Effective written and oral communication skills, particularly with technical content

Solid skills in C++ is helpful

Experience with configuration (GIT, Perforce) and release management, continuous integration, unit and regression testing

Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical issues during design, development and maintenance phases

Experience in shipping Consumer products with a deadline is a plus

Able to travel to New Zealand 1-2 times per year, 1-2 weeks at a time

Description

In this role, you will be a technical leader in a team developing firmware for ARM Core processors and other customer ASICs. You will be directly responsible for delivering features within a project, including planning, documenting and implementation.

You will interact with team members locally and remotely where strong communication skills will be needed to effectively communicate progress reports and issues on your work to cross-functional teams and management.

We work with a distributed team across a range of technologies and products that will require you to quickly familiarize and be effective with a range of firmware development tools, processes and procedures. You will be responsible for the development of new tools and general documentation to leverage your knowledge across the global firmware development team.

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
