The Role:
Reporting into the Senior Director, Market Access, the Director of Trade Operations is responsible for operationalizing the commercial supply chain distribution channel, focused on launch planning and successful seamless distribution for the

launch for Nuvalent’s first commercial product, an oral oncology product. You will work closely with cross-functional Nuvalent stakeholders and vendors. Working with other key functions, you will be an integral part of growing the company to meet the needs of patients and support their treatment journey.

Responsibilities:

•    Lead execution of the distribution strategy with trade partners to achieve commercial strategic objectives
•    Day-to-day operations management oversight for distribution partners, ensuring timely execution of activities to enable excellence in customer service
•    Oversight of operations, aligned to trade partner contracts
•    Analysis of GPO contract performance, providing input and recommendations to evolution of GPO contracting strategy
•    Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful operations 
•    Internal non-commercial partners include supply chain, accounting, legal, IT, and quality
•    Internal commercial partners include patient services, GPO, payer, and commercial ops
•    External partners include distribution entities
•    Develop, analyze, and manage against key performance indicators and service levels to optimize the commercial supply chain, with a process improvement mindset
•    Oversee and manage the budget for associated channel partners
•    Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability
•    Proactively identify supply chain constraints or operational issues, ascertain customer feedback, identify opportunities for improvement
•    Conduct regular business reviews with distribution partners to evaluate performance, resolve issues, and foster strong relationships
•    Stay abreast, informed, and aware of market changes such as new offerings or changes that could impact or improve operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction

•    Strong understanding of and experience with the oncology distribution models
•    Experience in contracting with and oversight of specialty distribution vendors
•    Experience launching specialty therapies, established relationships with specialty distributors
•    Strategic problem-solver, analytical, and decisive

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree. MBA or advanced degree preferred
•    10+ years of proven success in biopharma roles within market access and oral distribution 
•    5+ years of Oncology experience
•    Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize projects effectively and communicate at all levels within the company
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills)
•    Up to 20% domestic travel
