The Director, Post Production oversees all aspects of the post production team that creates a great variety, but not limited to, content like Brand & Director Response TV commercials, online videos, along with paid ads, content for our YouTube channel and our app. This role is both highly creative and technical, understanding about the end to end video creation across all platforms, with an emphasis & background in animation and motion graphics, both 2D and 3D. You will play a significant role in resource and talent management as well as maintaining and advising on best practices and post work flows. Responsible for strong collaboration with producers and creatives across key touch points in the process including reviewing treatments, production plans, identifying post partners, onboarding internal resources, and overseeing the end to end video creation across all platforms. You will partner with the other Directors to continue and grow our in-house post production team and take us to the next level.

  • Lead and manage the post-production team for video editing, graphics, motion & vfx design, providing strategic direction and guidance to achieve exceptional results.
  • Work closely with producers to develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring all milestones are met, along with partnering to identify post production collaborators across animation, vfx, and cgi.
  • Collaborate with the Directors of Production to implement efficient processes and workflows, constantly seeking opportunities to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in post-production, evaluating new software and tools to enhance our capabilities and streamline workflows.
  • Drive innovation and forward-thinking initiatives within the post-production department, challenging traditional methods and exploring new approaches to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Partner with Creative Directors to understand creative objectives and execute all creative assets in alignment with brand guidelines and standards.
  • Oversee a team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between creatives and production, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the production process.

  • 15+ years of post production & video editing experience with emphasis on animation.
  • Must be able work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver their best work.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability.
  • Smart, creative thinker with a sense of humor and excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard post-production software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Cinema4D, Audition) & Blackmagic Davinci Resolve.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Can adapt to shifting project requirements and manage time effectively to deliver projects on schedule.
  • A demonstrable history of problem solving that bring innovative solutions to production that are on time and on budget.
  • A keen eye and attention to detail.
