The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, the Director of Marketing Operations will establish and lead key operational functions that support the execution of our commercial strategy. This individual will be responsible for promotional material review and fulfillment, marketing data platforms, speaker program management, and event planning and management, ensuring seamless execution and compliance across all marketing initiatives. This role is critical in building and scaling the commercial infrastructure to support a successful product launch and future growth.

Responsibilities:

•    Lead and manage the Promotional Review Committee (PRC), ensuring an efficient and compliant process for review, approval, and dissemination of promotional materials.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to build a process that ensures all promotional content meets legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
•    Optimize the PRC workflow, leveraging technology to track and manage submission timelines and approvals.
•    Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRM, DAM, analytics tools) to support field execution and marketing effectiveness.
•    Work closely with Commercial Operations to ensure seamless integration of marketing and sales data for actionable insights.
•    Develop KPIs to measure the impact and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
•    Build and execute the speaker bureau program, including speaker selection, contracting, training, and program logistics.
•    Ensure all speaker programs adhere to compliance guidelines and industry regulations (e.g., Open Payments reporting, PhRMA Code).
•    Partner with field teams to optimize speaker engagement and drive effective peer-to-peer education.
•    Oversee promotional material fulfillment, ensuring timely distribution of marketing assets to the field sales team and external stakeholders.
•    Manage vendor relationships for print and digital fulfillment, ensuring cost-effective and efficient execution.
•    Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are up to date and aligned with brand messaging.
•    Collaborate on planning and execution commercial meetings, including sales meetings, regional training events, and launch-related field gatherings.
•    Manage commercial presence at key medical congresses, including booth logistics, sponsorships, KOL engagements, and promotional activities.
•    Work closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Market Access teams to ensure seamless execution of congress-related initiatives.
•    Oversee vendor partnerships for meeting logistics, ensuring flawless execution and compliance with industry regulations.

•    Drives for results and nurtures a performance-based culture of continuous improvement, addressing concerns and conflict proactively.
•    Characteristics include being entrepreneurial, collaborative, and an energetic self-starter with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
•    Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize projects effectively and communicate at all levels within the company.

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
•    8+ years in marketing operations, commercial operations, or a related function within biotech/pharma, with oncology launch experience preferred.
•    Proven track record in marketing operations leadership for a pre-commercial or newly launched biotech product.
•    Strong understanding of the PRC process and regulatory considerations in oncology biotech.
•    Experience implementing and managing marketing platforms (CRM, analytics tools, digital asset management systems).
•    Experience overseeing speaker programs and promotional material distribution in a compliant and efficient manner.
•    Demonstrated experience managing commercial events, sales meetings, and medical congresses with cross-functional coordination.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage and develop direct reports.
