- Responsible for any configuration changes in XEngine configuration files for any TP specific validation.

- Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the transmissions in Edifecs Transaction manager.

- Must fit in the Agile development environment.

- Configure Severity files to perform custom error validation.

- Coordinate with other application teams and provide needed support to QA team.

- Experience with development of Groovy Script.

- Preferred to have production support knowledge on Edifecs Applications.

- Experience leading a technical team with applications, healthcare, eligibility systems, claims system strongly preferred.
Additional areas used with this job:

  • Knowledge and experience using ServiceNow, Jira and other operational and some development tools for, bug tracking, Agile practices, and ITSM( Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration CMDB management) for services you support he highly useful and recommended.
  • ITIL understanding with experience in an Enterprise environment is recommended.
  • Agile skills and understanding of Dev/Ops Agile is recommended.
  • HIPAA and other health care compliance experience is recommended.
  • Training from Edifecs as well experience in knowledge of Edifecs system and tools is recommended.
  • Proficient  with Microsoft Office products Excel, Word;
  • Proficient with Visio (or other diagraming flow drawing tools)

This position is a visible technical leader who owns and takes accountability for operations within a specific IT Service Area. This individual is well versed in running IT operations in a Cloud or a hybrid IT environment. This role will drive Production Operations within an assigned SBU(s). Acts as subject matter experts in Magellan's infrastructure tool sets. Provide technical leadership for an infrastructure/application/database service within IT. Act as expert in ITIL processes. Provide leadership for a business unit or an operational area within the company and demonstrate problem solving approaches such as Kepner-Tregoe resolve. Be a Lean Thinker and drive the implementation of Continuous Delivery and DevOps practices across Magellan.

  • Manages the selection, evaluation, contracting, and integration of externally available hardware, software, and data to deliver business solutions.
  • Directs and manages though analysis, planning, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of support systems for business areas.
  • Selects and builds strong teams through formal training, diverse assignments, and coaching, mentoring, and other development techniques.
  • Manages and develops project cost estimates, benefits and assessment of potential project risks.
  • Manages projects, people, customer expectations, and business priorities to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Manages budgets, plans and expenses; may have cost center responsibilities.
  • Oversees throughput for encounter processing acting as liaison between the customer and Magellan IT teams.
  • Oversees and acts in review board fashion for reports delivered from Magellan to the customer.
  • Manages vendors.
  • Shares best practices throughout IT.

Responsibilities

10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering or Production Operations and leading teams through the development and support of applications.
Must have 2+ years of experience leading teams.
Broader experience across IT or across different industries (for external hires) is a must.
Experience in health care, insurance or related field.
Critical thinker.
Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coach and build skills within the team.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
