As Director of Executive and Internal Communications you will build and execute Credit Karma’s internal communications strategy to drive business performance, employee engagement and organizational culture aligned with our values and mission. This dynamic role will serve as the primary communications business partner to Credit Karma’s CEO. As a strategic thought partner and trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will provide ongoing support and guidance on how communication strategies can drive organizational priorities and elevate culture. As a key leader within the Corporate Communications team, you will develop a world-class internal communications discipline that will further Credit Karma’s culture, engage and retain employees, inspire, and shift behaviors and mindsets.
What you'll do:
- As the Director of Executive and Internal Communications you will deeply understand Credit Karma’s culture and leverage your function to further amplify it
- Leverage existing touch points and create new ones to engage with employees and further engagement and retention
- You will also leverage your experience to partner successfully with stakeholders across the Intuit ecosystem, with Credit Karma as part of the broader Consumer Group
- Create and execute a comprehensive internal communications plan with clear objectives, strategies, and metrics for success, with the CEO at the center
- Collaborate with Public Relations, Social, Investor Relations, and the People team to ensure consistent messaging
- Develop materials that align with the CEO's strategic communications agenda, including talking points, talk tracks, presentations, emails, Slack and the like
- Research data, proof points, and anecdotes from internal and external sources to include in materials
- Provide communications advice and deliverables that reflect the CEO's voice and business understanding; know how to build and execute a personalized CEO platform
- Partner closely with senior leaders cross-functionally to develop a deep understanding of their priorities and implement compelling campaigns in support of their individual business objectives
- Keep a finger on the pulse of employee sentiment and engagement and support the group’s ability to develop proactive internal strategies
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of communications/public relations experience working at a senior level in a major corporation– tech experienced strongly preferred
- 5+ years managing and coaching high performing teams
- Worked in multi-tiered or subsidiary-structured organization
What we would like to see:
- Extensive experience working successfully and confidently among c-level officers
- Exceptional writer, who can write creatively, yet in a clear, business context
- Extensive experience with communications surrounding change management
- Proven strategist and dynamic leader, eager to build a world-class internal communications discipline and excited at the opportunity to implement and activate strategies that drive lasting impact and success for the organization
- Approaches challenges creatively, assesses and mitigates issues before they arise, guiding teams through periods of consistent change and consistently fostering fresh ideas
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment leveraging their extensive relationships and skills to drive impactful results and foster a collective culture of success
- Exuding warmth, creativity, credibility and candor, this person has a track record of establishing trust at all levels within an organization and maintains confidence and poise under pressure

Pay Transparency Notice: Credit Karma’s mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base salary range for this role is $290,00-$311,000, plus equity and benefits.
