WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Growing volume of members enrolling to Meru Health’s programs with a target CAC:LTV ratio.
  • Identify & Unlock Effective Channels: Rapidly test and scale both low-cost, organic and paid tactics that bring in meaningful volume at the target CAC:LTV ratio / cost.
  • Validate a Repeatable Playbook: Codify successful non-paid growth strategies (e.g. community-driven acquisition, viral loops, AI-enhanced content) into a scalable system for future launches.
  • Early Traction & Insights: Deliver tangible traction (x starters/TBD), clarifying which strategies can scale and which should be abandoned before we ramp up broader paid initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Learnings: Generate robust insights that guide both immediate growth tactics and inform a broader multi-state paid acquisition strategy once budgets expand.
  • Install a scalable rapid experimentation framework with reporting that explains what happened, why, and next steps.
  • Solid measurement and attribution to understand what’s working and what’s not.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Growth Hacker Mentality: Rely on first principles to find innovative ways of driving member growth
  • AI-Native Builder: Confidently leverage AI tools to accelerate content production, automate manual tasks, and uncover new sources of starters.
  • Hands-On Execution: Own the end-to-end process-create landing pages, test messaging, analyze data and iterate quickly
  • Highly Analytical: Define clear success metrics upfront, measure every click and conversion, and pivot rapidly based on performance.
  • Paid acquisition marketing: more traditional tactics of user acquisition through paid advertising etc.
  • Creative & Scrappy: Embrace non-traditional tactics and product-led growth mechanics to complement higher-cost acquisition channels.
  • Website optimization: you’ll own this and work closely with our product and design teams
  • Technical Chops: Comfortable setting up automations, basic scripts, or no-code tools as well as using SQL; able to move fast without heavy developer dependencies.
  • Speed & Flexibility: Operate in tight loops—run tests, collect data, iterate quickly, and consistently learn from each experiment.

FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

  • 8-12 years of general marketing experience.
  • 3–6 Years in Growth Marketing: Startup or scrappy environment preferred—someone who’s launched creative, low-budget campaigns with real results.
  • AI & Automation Fluency: Hands-on experience with AI tools, plus the ability to integrate or script quick workflows without heavy engineering.
  • Proven Experimentation Mindset: Familiarity with hypothesis-driven testing, funnel metrics, and iterative cycles.
  • Analytical Rigor: Comfortable using analytics platforms (GA, Mixpanel, etc.) and basic coding or advanced Excel/SQL for deeper insights.
  • Resourceful & Self-Driven: Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, willing to hustle, learn, and iterate on the fly.
  • Technical/Quant Background (strongly preferred): CS, math or similar
