About the Job

As the Director of Corporate Development at Aegis Ventures, you will play a critical role as a strategic leader. You will be responsible for driving transaction execution and supporting our portfolio strategy, business planning, capital formation, and joint venture development, all of which are vital to our growth. You will collaborate closely with leaders across the studio and portfolio companies, thriving in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

This position will be based out of our office in New York City on a hybrid basis.

What You'll Do:

  • Form Investment Theses: Lead research efforts to build a pipeline for new companies.
  • Identify and Execute M&A Opportunities: Evaluate and execute opportunities across the Aegis portfolio.
  • Support Capital Sourcing Efforts: Assist in structural fundraising efforts.
  • Execute Complex Transactions: Manage deal processes with health system partners.
  • Translate Strategies into Companies: Work with experienced operators to create high-growth early-stage companies.
  • Prepare Portfolio Companies for Fundraising: Provide hands-on support in sourcing investments.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience: 4-8 years in investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
  • Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare trends, regulatory dynamics, and market opportunities.
  • M&A Expertise: Ability to lead research efforts to build a pipeline for new companies, manage deal processes with health system partners, and evaluate and execute complex M&A deals.
  • Capital Sourcing and Fundraising: Experience assisting in structural fundraising efforts while providing hands-on support in sourcing investments.
  • Financial Strategy and Execution: Ability to evaluate the financial health of early-stage ventures using key performance metrics.
  • Company Building and Scaling: Experience implementing sustainable growth strategies for creating new companies while effectively navigating funding challenges and scaling obstacles.

Salary Range:

  • $175,000 - $250,000 base salary, depending on previous experience and alignment with role expectations.
