Job Summary:

The Director, Corporate Communications helps execute clear, strategic priorities and supports the design, development and implementation of PR, customer, and employee communications that will advance overall company goals. The Director, Corporate Communications, plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the corporate reputation, fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

 Responsibilities:

• Leverage all forms of customer and employee communication to further the strategic interests, build brand visibility and thought leadership, and increase market awareness for the organization.

• Work closely with the Executive Team to orchestrate change management related to corporate strategy, including developing a visibility plan, providing strategic communication guidance and crafting compelling messages aligned with brand voice.

• Provide crisis communications and issues management support and create a response strategy, including customer, employee and stakeholder communication.

• Lead all public and media relations in support of corporate strategy and priority launches.

• Play a key role in communications regarding mergers and acquisitions.

• Develop customer communications, including emails/newsletters, webinars, and other channels.

• Manage the communications calendar and oversee the review process for external communication initiatives to ensure alignment with communication strategy and positioning across key stakeholders and channels.

• Develop and implement employee communication programs to keep employees informed and engaged with a clear understanding of company strategy and goals.

• Synthesize complex information gathered from a variety of sources and produce communication materials including FAQs, talking points, PowerPoint presentations, emails, etc.

• Lead strategic development and delivery of internal events to drive strong brand presence and employee engagement, including (but not limited to) quarterly all-employee Town Halls.

Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals to execute communication strategies effectively, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellence.

 

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, English, or equivalent experience.

• 10+ years of experience in related, progressive roles in corporate communications.

• 5+ years of people management experience or experience in roles showing progressive leadership.

• Demonstrated expertise in public relations, working with news reporters, industry analysts, influencers, policy makers, and other third parties.

• Prior strategic communications experience, including reputation management, crisis communications, mergers and acquisitions, employee engagement, training, stakeholder engagement, media and analyst relations, executive visibility, public affairs, and brand management.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various audiences.

• Proven track record designing and executing successful communications campaigns.

• Demonstrated experience in internal communications, B2B marketing and customer communications.

• High proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior writing experience in a B2B environment.

• Situational awareness and ability to be flexible and respond to challenging situations appropriately.

• Knowledgeable with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot and Marketing Cloud.

• Familiar with project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA.

• Industry experience in healthcare, health information technology, and/or network technology.

*This position will primarily work from home in the United Stateswith some travel as needed.

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $172,400 - $210,700 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
