The Director, Brand Marketing at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is a critical role in developing and executing our growth strategy. This hands-on Director will manage all facets of brand management, brand and local marketing, digital & social media, PR, and CRM/loyalty programs, with a strong focus on the digital ecosystem to drive restaurant traffic, sales, and brand engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, equity, and market share, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain brand consistency by overseeing brand guidelines, calendar planning, and ensuring all campaigns are on-brand and messaging aligns with brand pillars and values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Culinary, Development, and Communications to ensure cohesive brand messaging and seamless strategy execution across all touchpoints.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analyze consumer insights to identify opportunities for brand growth, positioning, and differentiation in a competitive market.
  • Create and oversee innovative marketing campaigns across digital, social media, and traditional channels to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Manage the brand and agency annual budgets effectively, ensuring all marketing initiatives are cost-effective, ROI-driven, and align with financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the PR team to ensure public relations efforts align with brand strategy, enhance brand reputation, and drive measurable results.
  • Oversee the management of brand templates, creative requests, forecasting, and content collection protocols to ensure consistency and efficiency in brand communications.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of brand marketing activities and make data-driven decisions to optimize strategies and tactics.
  • Partner proactively and reactively with franchisees to review business results, identify marketing and revenue opportunities, and provide guidance on leveraging marketing levers to strengthen performance and drive growth.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with a track record of successfully managing and developing team members. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a positive and productive team culture.
  • Must have experience with franchise focused businesses, specifically related to brand management, brand and local marketing, digital, communications, CRM/loyalty.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand initiatives that drive growth and guest engagement, including leading complex marketing campaigns from inception to completion.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM software, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with SEO/SEM, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Flexibility to pivot strategies based on market conditions and business needs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics to measure marketing effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Target base salary range 165-185k depending on experience
