Defense Systems Group (DSG) provides analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy and strategy, development planning, system of systems engineering, and threat reduction to help shape the future space missions across the national security space (NSS) enterprise. DSG is unique at Aerospace as it not only directly supports major customers, including US Space Force, U.S Space Command, Air Force Materiel Command, and senior leadership at the Pentagon, but also provides a broad range of services and support across the national space enterprise, maintaining vertical responsibilities with customers but also horizontal, matrixed responsibilities across the corporation. Aerospace is seeking an innovative and proactive Senior Project Engineer in the Digital Engineering Transformation (DET) Office within the Space Systems Architect Division. The Digital Engineering Transformation Office is focused on leading and managing Aerospace efforts in support of the customer's Digital Engineering/Transformation branch in Enterprise Interoperability within the Space Systems Integration Office. This role includes leading and developing the architecture for the USSF Digital Service Ecosystem (DSE). The DSE includes the digital engineering ecosystem, software defined network and compute, transport service (WAN), virtual workspaces, ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) Services, Data Service, and cyber orchestration and automation. The DET program office Senior Project Engineer will lead, build, and plan the work with Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) teams to achieve the vision of a fully digital engineered Space Force. This vision spans the gamut from model-based systems engineering, building libraries of workflows, identifying the Authoritative Source of Truth (ASOT) data and metadata that rides along with a system across the product/acquisition lifecycle to streamline the systems engineering artifacts and products that drive decision making.
