We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Terraform to automate the deployment of approximately 400 sites on Akamai. The ideal candidate will have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and cloud/CDN deployments to streamline, optimize, and maintain large-scale site rollouts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Terraform modules to automate the deployment of 400+ sites in Akamai.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment workflows.
- Configure and optimize Akamai services such as EdgeWorkers, Property Manager, and Global Traffic Management (GTM).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (networking, security, and application teams) to integrate Akamai solutions efficiently.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployment issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, workflows, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud/CDN automation.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong experience with Akamai CDN technologies, including Property Manager, EdgeWorkers, and GTM.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, DNS, and web performance optimization.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex deployment issues and optimize performance.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Akamai certifications (e.g., Akamai Certified Professional).
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- Experience integrating Akamai with WAF (Web Application Firewall) and security policies.
- Prior experience working in a large-scale site deployment environment.
