Customer Applications Manager
At Alphawave Semi, we design, develop, and deliver advanced semiconductor solutions for a range of verticals and industries. Our custom SoC division delivers ASICs in the most advanced technology nodes and enjoys close partnerships with all leading silicon foundries. Our ASICs are also seen in satellite communication systems, IoT and extreme low-power mobile devices. We are leaders in high-speed networking and memory interface IP. With our expertise in package-silicon codesign, we belong to the technology elite that can deliver leading-edge products based on advanced technology and packaging.
We have a global presence with multiple development centers in North America, EMEA, China, Taiwan, and India. To support our growth and expansion plans worldwide, we are seeking to hire exceptional talent to join our San Jose Office. You will lead customer engagements and new product programs that are critical to the success of the business unit. You will collaborate with a diverse, global team that is on a mission to deliver world-class SoC products and programs.
What You'll Do
- Experience in Application Engineering supporting customer or semiconductor IP including embedded memories, IOs, DDRx/PCIe/UCIe/Ethernet/High Speed Serdes, ARM Cores, System Interconnects/Peripherals etc.
- Understand and provide technical guidance to customers throughout the SoC Product Lifecycle (PLC) from design and Development to production and deployment of both ASIC and Chiplet solutions.
- Support pre-sales/business teams to win new designs & expand Alphawave Semi's footprint worldwide.
- Understand customer IC development needs and roadmaps, define scope, and create execution plans for their devices and systems. Provide support for design, integration, and debugging throughout the process.
- Oversee program planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, resource allocation, and tracking customer activities associated with the programs.
- Manage customer feedback and work with the team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
- Conducts regular meetings to ensure customers and internal teams are clear on expectations and problem-solving actions are in place to address issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain both technical depth and strong managerial skills to effectively address program and product challenges, ensuring the success of customer engagements.
- Maintain key stakeholders aligned throughout the project, ensuring clear communication and collaboration at all levels.
- Present program status updates to executive management during reviews, highlighting progress, challenges, and key milestones.
What You'll Need
- Bachelors' or Masters' Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8 or more years of relevant experience in a semiconductor or electronics product company
- Technical appreciation of ASIC/SoC flows (front end and backend development processes, product and test engineering, char and validation, hardware/software design)
- Customer and program management skills, ability to organize information for internal/external consumption.
- Able to motivate and energize teams and lead by influence in a matrixed organization.

Salary and Benefits
Your contribution will be recognized with a base salary within the range of $165,000 to $185,000 annually as It is influenced by your qualifications, experience, location, and the internal equity of our team to ensure fairness and consistency across roles. In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, employees are also eligible for additional compensation opportunities, including a short-term incentive program, Retirement & Saving Programs and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
